We had to stop. Everything was being switched around. Daryl forced me to wear the brace before I could do anything else, I guess it was for the best.

It was 125 miles to Fort Benning. I'm not sure we had enough fuel for that, even with us downsizing.

I pulled my bag up my shoulder further and walked over to Glenn.

"You get the honors of holding one of the most important things to me." He gave me a hug before taking the bag.

"You be careful on the motorcycle. Since you won't just ride in the R.V." I'm pretty sure that he rolled his eyes on the last part.

"I will be safe. Seeing's as that's one of the places I'm most safe." I made sure he had the bag before going back to Daryl. Now we would be on Merle's bike.

The time came where we had to start the caravan. It felt good, more normal to be on the bike and leading the pack.

We had to stop when we entered a road block on a highway. Daryl and I had to be the ones to go forward and see if we could find a way to get everyone through.

Daryl drove the motorcycle back to the window of the R.V.

"See a way through?" Dale asked. Daryl nodded for them to follow him. Daryl turned around and the others slowly followed behind us.

We were actually getting somewhere when something popped behind me. I tapped Daryl, it was probably when I jumped from the noise. But Daryl stopped and everybody behind followed.

The rest of the group got out of there vehicles and walked over. Dale started going on about how he told us so. I jumped off the motorcycle and started putting one foot in front of the other. I just didn't feel like being in group discussions. If they needed me they would call for me.

They did start going through the vehicles, I figured I should start doing the same. Never know what we could find here.

I pushed myself off the ground and wiped the dirt off my knees. I didn't think the trip would hurt that bad.

I was going through a car a little ways away when Glenn walked over and leaned against the door.

"When you said we were your family back at the C.D.C, did you mean it?" He asked me and I stopped going through the car to look at him.

"Of course. You guys are the closest thing I've ever had to family. At least this is what I would imagine it would look like." I smiled and he smiled back at me. It just felt like something was off with him.

"Find anything?" He asked.

"Yep, this entire thing of cans. Any help?" He looked over my shoulder and the smile widened. I had found four totes full of food. Glenn and I went back and forth to get the cans to the R.V. We then went back for the water in the trunk.

Once everything was in the R.V Glenn wandered away to find more things. Carl called me over to help him find some stuff. I limped over.

"Are you not capable of finding your own stuff?" He started to laugh at me.

"Well, you are the survivalist, hoboist." He started to laugh even more.

"I said the word one time. But ha, ha, your very funny." I went to help him find things but we both started to laugh for a few minutes.

Carl and I were going through the car with laughs and talks we would remember for a life time. Carl admitted that on that road he felt safe and that it would end up okay. We found what we needed.
