It felt like forever before I got to the top of the building. My arms were burning and my shoulders were about to give out from my bag. I was never doing something like this again. I pulled myself over the edge and laid on the concrete of the building. My chest was heaving and I let myself lay there, looking around to make sure that I was alone.

But paradise didn't last long before I heard gunshots again. I pushed myself to my feet, taking my backpack off, and standing at the ledge. I looked down where I'd just climbed and didn't see anything.

I couldn't see much at first but then I saw Rick running into the alley with Glenn, walkers swarming behind them. I'd been able to run silently with my katana but Rick was more of a struggle with the gun.

Walkers were coming in from both sides of the alley and the boys ran to the ladder. Once they started climbing up I took the opportunity to sit down again.

Eventually Glenn came over the side and I stood up again. He smiled at me before pointing behind him. Rick pulled himself over and I rushed over to help him.

"You good?" I asked him and he immediately pulled me into a hug.

"Just a little side tracked." He responded.

"Yeah, so much for right behind me." I replied.

"Follow me." Glenn said and I grabbed my bag off the ground. I stood with Rick while Glenn led us along the roof.

Glenn had us walk over something that connected two buildings. I wasn't sure how much I trusted it considering, one false step, and we were falling to our deaths.

"Are you the one that barricaded the alley?" Rick asked while hopping over the barrier to the next building. Rick turned around and helped me climb over.

"Somebody did-I guess when the city got overrun." Everybody was over onto the roof and Glenn started to run, we had to follow him.

"Whoever did it was thinking not many geeks would get through." Glenn told us his thoughts.

"Back at the tank, why'd you stick your neck out for me?" Rick asked. Glenn and Rick opened a hatch and Glenn threw his stuff down. I couldn't even see where his stuff went because it was so dark. Glenn reached for my bag and I looked at him for a moment before giving in and handing it to him. He threw the bag down and I watched as it disappeared into the abyss.

"Call it foolish, naive hope that if I'm ever that far up shit's creek, somebody might do the same for me. Guess I'm an even bigger dumb ass than you." Glenn started down the ladder, I went next, then Rick followed me.

Rick shut the hatch once he was through, leaving us in complete darkness. Glenn jumped down and put his hands out for me to jump. I landed on my own two feet and he nodded his head. Glenn grabbed his stuff and handed me mine before starting to run. I waited for Rick and then started to follow Glenn.

We ran through this really abandoned, messy room. Couldn't tell ya what it used to be in all honesty. Glenn slammed a door open and we were outside again. We had to go down many flights of stairs and that's when Glenn pulled out a walkie.

"I'm back, plus two guests, and four geeks in the alley." Glenn told his people over the walkie as we ran down the stairs. Geeks? Is that what they call them around here?

Glenn got to the bottom of the stairs and froze. Four walkers were coming towards us and he froze. I went under his arm that was on the railing and grabbed out my katana. Not that I got to use it before two people in full hazmat suits came running out of the building across from us.

"Let's go!" Glenn yelled while running past me and towards the open door. I didn't know what the panic was for, it was only four walkers. But I ran after him when Rick grabbed my arm. We entered the building and the people in hazmat suits were right behind us, slamming the door behind themselves.
