Katherine handed me the cup of coffee as I walked back to the campsite.
"Were you already working?" She asked and I was shocked as to why she would ask such a question.
"What else am I supposed to do?" I asked and took a sip of the coffee.
It's been 35 days since we first started on the bridge. 35 days of living out of a campsite, it felt like the old times but it wasn't the same.
Nearly everybody was here, and just about all of the Saviors. We were all here trying to work together on the bridge.
Anthony was back at the Capital with Alex and a few other Saviors still building. It was weird to have them there building what I'm supposed to lead but I'm here.
I saw Rosita going after Rick and I would need to hear this. I ran after them and stood next to Eugene before she started talking.
"Scouts got back. "Horatio's" gonna pass us by, but it'll be close." She told him and Eugene was falling behind.
"We got a head count?" Rick asked.
"100 and change.
What, you think we should push the blasting?" Rosita asked and the three of us stopped walking."No. If we wait, we'll wind up drawing that other herd." Rick said.
"Margaret." Rosita said.
"Right. And that one's five times as big.
We got the sirens in place?" Rick asked her."Hell, yeah." Rosita said.
"Then we blow the rockslide.
If the herd comes, we'll redirect." Rick told her."All right, I'll let em know." Rosita said and I left with her. She was going towards the others and I was going towards the bridge.
Daryl and Aaron were talking and I grabbed out my notebook to write anything I would need to. What Rosita said, what we were doing to prevent it, the amount of Savior's who left, and who's working right now.
I looked up and Henry was giving Justin a cup of water. Except he went for a second cup and Henry went to stop him.
Justin shoved Henry to the ground and I threw the notebook down. I started walking towards the bridge and Justin was just taking from the whole container.
Henry took out his stick and knocked Justin to his feet. I was on the bridge and this wasn't going anywhere good.
Henry grabbed the bucket and I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Ahh. Hey, man, it's cool. I got my ass handed to me by a kid one time, too. Of course, I was 6 at the time." Another man said and I looked at Henry.
"Go, now." I told him and he went to the next person looking for water. Justin started going after Henry but Daryl grabbed him before I could.
"Hey. Kid's just doing his job. Get back to work." Daryl demanded.
"I don't need your people telling me what to do. You're not my babysitter anymore." Justin said and started walking away but Daryl grabbed him again.
Justin swung but Daryl missed it and hit Justin square in the nose. Justin fell into the sand and next thing I knew he was throwing it at us.
I stumbled backwards and tried to get it out of my eye.
"Henry, go!" I yelled as Justin attacked Daryl. They were screaming and I still couldn't see.
They were still going at it and I could finally see again. Daryl shoved Justin against one of the beams and I snuck up behind Justin
