"It's the only way. No one else knows." Rick said and I felt like I was going to beat somebody until they heart stopped.
"You gonna tell em?" Daryl asked.
"Not till after. We have to do it today. It has to be quiet." Rick said and I couldn't believe that this is actually what he was going with.
"Quiet my ass." I whispered under my breath.
"You got a plan?" Daryl asked. No, why would he? As long as he can go and kill somebody.
"We tell her we need to talk. Away from the others." Rick said and that was actually disgusting. The world ended and so did Rick's humanity. Of course to make it better there was that moment if silence.
"Just ain't us, man." Daryl said and that was one of the most logical things I've ever heard him say.
"No. No, it isn't." Hershel reminded us and walked out of the conversation.
"We do this, we avoid a fight. No one else dies." Rick told him and I wasn't buying a piece of it. The Governor wasn't just gonna let us go.
Daryl nodded his head and glanced at me. I couldn't even describe how much disgust I had. My face wouldn't even be the tip of the ice berg on this one.
"All right." Daryl said.
"We need someone else." Rick said and I knew who that "someone else" was.
"I'll talk to him." Daryl willingly said.
"I'll do it." Rick said. Jesus this is not a pissing contest. All they needed to do was talk to him.
"I'll go with you." Daryl said. Jesus Christ.
"No. Just me." Rick said. Rick said it and then walked away. Daryl looked at me and I shook my head.
"It's a bad idea and I refuse to help. If anything I'll help Michonne through it. You people are gonna have to do a hella lot to get through me. If you guys do this I can have my bag packed and my ass out of this prison in a minute." I said and started to walk away.
I meant it. In a short amount of time the Morgan thing and then this. We all knew what that man would do to her. If there was anybody who would be against what he does it would be me. If there's anybody who deserves me to fight for them it's her right now.
"Jessamine?" Daryl said and I turned back around. That was my cue to let lose. I walked over to Daryl and got in his face about it.
"No. No! You have no idea what her and her family did for me. Sure her boyfriend was a douche but they still helped. They helped like you have no idea. But why would you? Why would my own brother even care? She was one of the only people I would even consider family before all this. I would and will never do this to her. If Rick were talking about doing this to you I would be acting the same way. And you were barely family before! The only thing that made you family way blood." I told him and walked away.
I didn't stop, I walked all the way away. I walked until I got to the boiler room. I got to the corner and drug my back along the wall.
"You shouldn't be down here." I looked up and all I saw was the green on the arrows.
"Oh my god! Don't you people ever take a hint!" I stood up and walked past him.
"Jessamine!" Daryl screamed at me and I stopped again. I didn't turn towards him.
"You know what he's gon do to her? He ain't gon kill her. He'll do other things. Rape her, let other men, pull her teeth out one by one, her toes, her limbs, scoop out her eyes, throw a walker or two at her. I could keep going! You claim you want to protect me, but you won't even try to protect the thing that actually protected me." I walked away again and wasn't followed.
