The crowd was still cheering to kill them when the governor walked over to me and grabbed me by the arm. I tried to not walk forward but he just kept dragging me. We were by the two men when he stopped and forced me to stand there. It was even worse in the middle of the ring.

The people were yelling words that I couldn't even make out. I was breathing heavy and all three of us were looking around but none of us looked at each other. We finally looked at each other for a second when the governor was walking around to the front of us.

Andrea was trying to get to him but some man was holding her back. She was hitting him and saying something. He finally let her go and another man caught her while she was going towards the governor.

"Phillip." A man came up and pointed a gun at her torso. He said something but it obviously didn't matter to Andrea.

"Those two-they're my friends." She told him and I looked down at the ground. The governor was just sitting there staring at us.

"It's not up to me anymore. The people have spoken." He told her and I really wanted to know why we were going off of the lunatics around us.

"I asked you where your loyalties lie. You said here. Well, prove it." They undid Daryl's restraints and I thought they were going to do mine too. They grabbed me by the arm and started to pull my backwards. I tried to get out and I tried to get free. I thought of screaming but there wasn't much that it was going to do. They kicked me back down to my knees and I looked forth again.

"Brother against brother." The man said and my breathing stopped again. That was going to end horrible. There would be no Daryl. He would put up a good fight but he wouldn't be here in the end.

"No!" I screamed and the girl kicked me in the ribs. I fell down to the ground and tried to catch my breath. This girl had some real big balls but they weren't going to work for her in the end. I looked up at her in shock and she still wouldn't look at me.

"Winner goes free. Fight to the death." The crowd cheered even louder.

"Phillip, please. Don't do this. Don't do this." Andrea tried to protest but in the long run it wasn't going to work. It was just wasting time.

There were a few cheers in the crowd for Merle. People cheering him on to kill his own brother. I would have done anything to change places with Daryl.

"Let me trade! Take me! I'll go in for Daryl. Just please." I yelled and the governor walked over. I could see Daryl from around him and he was looking at me in shock.

"I'm sorry, but the crowd is already ready. Merle has to prove his loyalties with this one, then maybe you." The governor walked away and I looked at him in shock. Either way Merle would be walking away.

"Y'all know me. I'm gonna do whatever I got to do to prove..." Merle turned around and punched Daryl square in the gut. Daryl fell to the ground coughing. I jumped towards him but was knocked down towards the ground when somebody smashed the bottom of a gun into my forehead.  I opened my eyes and it was all blurry, I locked eyes with Daryl.

"I'm sorry." He mouthed and I squeezed my eyes shut. They pulled me back to my knees to see Merle kick Daryl square in the gut while yelling about loyalty. I squeezed my eyes shut again just so the girl could kick me in the head right where the gun had landed.

"Hey! Watch the fight, it's getting good." She told me and I could feel the blood pouring down my face.

It was seconds before I could see anything. But I still had to sit there and hear the blows landing against one another. Probably more of Merle just beating on his brother. It was when I heard the snarling that I used my shoulder to wipe the blood away.
