"How much further have the patrols cleared?" Michonne asked and I rode my horse behind the wagon.
"Til the Route D river bend. Their rig's about five miles past that. If their story checks out." DJ told her.
"You'd feel better if you just say it." Michonne said towards Siddiq.
"What makes you think I want to say something?" Siddiq asked her.
"I'm not hearing you deny it." Michonne pointed out.
"I was gonna tell you that I'm glad you changed your mind about them." Siddiq said and I think we all were.
"But you think I should've let them stay in Alexandria." Michonne pointed out and that would be the part he was leaving out.
"Well, you're going pretty far out of your way not to. Considering." Siddiq pointed out and I nodded my head.
"Considering what?" Michonne asked.
"That you like these guys." Siddiq called her out.
"Really? That's what I think?" Michonne asked and Connie was pointing towards my neck. I grabbed the necklace and looked at her. She nodded her head and I thought about it for a second.
"Can you translate? I'm not that fluent." I told Kelly and she nodded her head.
"Of course, I was wondering too." Kelly told me and I'm glad it sparks people's attention when I wear it around my neck.
"The first one, this one. It's, uh, my wedding ring." I said and held up the silver ring with the jewels all around it.
Connie signed something and I looked at Kelly.
"The boy? Anthony?" Kelly asked and I nodded my head at Connie.
"This one, actually, is a matching on to Michonne's over there." I said and held up the crown ring. I waited for Kelly to translate and Connie nodded her head while signing something.
"So she has a really good side?" Kelly asked.
"She does, it's just that something really bad happened about six years ago." I told her and she told Connie.
"And this one--this one, uh, it, uh, my brother gave it to me. Way back at a prison." I told them and Kelly told her. Connie looked sad when she signed something back.
"Your brother, uh, is he gone?" Kelly asked and I shook my head.
"No, god no, sorry, if it seemed that way. He would just rather live out in the woods, on his own. The hobo life, I don't see him a lot.
Actually, he might be dead. But I highly doubt it because he's one tough son of a bitch.
You might even meet him, sometimes he's at the communities." I said and Kelly relayed the message."Your brothers not dead and you know that." Michonne told me and I nodded my head.
Magna was leaning over the side looking down the road and I didn't want to pay any attention to the conversation she was having with Connie.
They went from using sign language to actually talking. She just wanted her weapons back but I could care less.
Kelly was the first one to actually raise her voice and it caught DJ's attention. They went back to sign language and then Kelly was getting mad.
"I want my damn knives." I heard her say. Now I was listening now I had to listen.
"Look, I'm sorry about Magna. She can be a bit hotheaded." Yumiko told Michonne.
"That's one word for it." Michonne said.
"She's been on edge since we lost Bernie." Yumiko and I guess it made sense to act out when you lose somebody. I sure as hell couldn't say anything about it not being okay. But neither can Michonne.
