Made To Suffer

Continuing to watch the guard from behind the car was stressful knowing that my best friend could be dead inside of those walls. Of course it had to be made worse when I heard a noise and looked behind me to see Michonne leaving.

"Hey! Hey!" Rick whispered at her but she just kept going back the way we came. Once she was gone Rick backed up so the four of us were in a circle formation.

"All right, we need to downsize." Rick told us and they were all taking off the heavy weapons off of there backs. Personally I didn't think I needed to downsize.

"Ain't no way we're gonna check in all them buildings, not with all the guards there." Daryl pointed out. He wasn't wrong, especially if there were more on the inside.

We sat there looking at the wall for a second when a twig snapped and the three of them turned with a weapon pointed up. All I did was turn around. Michonne walked back and she was motioning for us to follow her towards the direction we came.

I looked between Rick, Daryl, and Oscar. Rick was doing the same thing. I nodded my head at him, it was our best bet to go with her.

"All right, let's go." Rick told us and we all hunched over and ran to follow Michonne.

The door was halfway boarded up and we had to duck down just to get through. I walked under it after Michonne and saw racks full of cans. We were in the pantry building. At least it was a dark and empty building.

I slowly moved forward so the boys could enter after me. We walked forward until we were at the front of the building.

"I mean I was gonna suggest I act hurt so they let me in as a distraction and I plead for there safety, but I guess this works too." I told them and Rick looked at me.

"This is probably safer for you. Who knows what they'd do to you." Rick told me and I thought about it for a moment. He held a very true point.

"This is where you were held?" Rick asked.

"I was questioned." Michonne told him.

"Any idea where else they could be?" Rick asked her another question while Daryl walked up and looked out the windows.

"I thought you said there was a curfew." Daryl said to her with a scold.

"The street is packed during the day. Those are stragglers." Michonne told him with a bit of attitude.

"If anyone comes in here, we're sitting ducks. We gotta move." Rick told us while he looked out the window too.

"They could be in his apartment." Michonne suggested. Daryl and Rick both looked at her in disgust at the same time.

"Yeah? What if they ain't?" Daryl asked while walking at her.

"Then we'll look somewhere else." She said through gritted teeth as they both walked up around her.

"You said you could help us." Rick told her. It sounded like her was accusing her of something.

"I'm doing the best I can." Michonne told him.

"Hey, both you you, back off. If it wasn't for her we would still be waiting for Maggie and Glenn to come back to the prison. Then we would go out to risk our own lives looking for them at the mini-mart by the woods. We wouldn't have known this place existed or that Glenn and Maggie were taken by the living and not the dead." I told them with a look of disappointment. I meant every word I said whether they wanted to get sour about it or not.

"Hey." Rick signaled for a meeting. Me, Daryl, and Oscar walked over to him and we did a little huddle a few yards away from Michonne.

"If this goes south, we're cutting her loose." I looked at Rick with wide eyes. Him and his-I didn't even want to get into it at the moment.
