"See you later" Brooke said giving me a quick hug before continuing to the locker room.

I rolled my eyes when i was greeted by other people's amused looks when they handed me their clubs. As if this wasn't punishment enough?

When all the clubs were collected and the hall empty, i turned and raised my eyebrows questioningly.

"What are you doing?" i asked briefly to Thomas, who was just leaning against one wall with his arms crossed.

"Waiting for you to finish so we can go to the storage room" he replied with an amused grin on his face.

"Whatever you think will happen in the storage room, i must disappoint you. We will clean up as soon as possible, so that we avoid each other."

"Little Y/n, angry as usual" he said as i walked towards him, pulling on the barrel with the clubs. Thanks for no help at all!

As if he had read my thoughts, he met me and took the barrel, winked flirtatiously, and left me in the hall with astonishment, or rather wonder. I shook my head and followed him with quick steps to the storage room.

"So how do you want to do this?" he asked as i stopped in the doorway. I couldn't help thinking about the double message in that question.

"What do you mean?"

"Should i take one side and you the other or should we help each other, side by side" he said and blinked again with an even bigger grin on his face.

"Uh, we will take each side. It's the fastest way," i replied and looked away as my cheeks heated up.

"I'm not usually one to like things going fast" he said in such an enticingly crisp tone that i knew he wasn't talking about constant.

"Maybe not. What do i know. But you can't always get what you want and i want to get out of here as fast as possible so we take sides" i said as convincingly as i could but my whole body tingled.

When Thomas laughed i walked over to the first shelf with a million different cones that were full of noise. It had not been a joke that this storage room needed cleaning, i thought and methodically lifted the cones down and began to sort them by color and size.

I glanced to the side and saw that Thomas had sat on a basket of balls and was looking intently at me.

"Why aren't you cleaning?" i asked with a snort.

"It's much more fun to watch you clean."

"Please, start cleaning so we can get out of here sometime!" i said in frustration and grabbed a cone at the top of the shelf.

I didn't want to blame myself for being quite short, which in itself was true, but maybe if i had been a little taller i could have foreseen that it wasn't just a cone that would fall if i took down the very one that i had chosen. I screamed and put my hands to my head as everything came crashing down on me.

"Y/n! Are you okay?" he asked, who was quickly there and pushed away all the rubble that was now lying in a heap around me.

"Yeah, i'm fine" i said but felt quite shaky. If it was because Thomas was standing across from me with his hands placed on my shoulders or that i had just had a lot of things thrown at me, i left it unsaid.

"That could have gone really bad" he said with an irritation that surprised me.

"It's okay" i muttered but didn't dare turn my gaze up to meet his. Suddenly everything felt too intimate, exactly what wasn't supposed to happen.

"We will keep going, so we will be done at some point" i continued, taking a step back but tripping over all the stuff that was scattered around my feet.
