I looked at the time and saw that he had sent the text just two minutes after i had sent him my text. Why had he done that? i mean, he hasn't said a word or even looked at me in four days. Not since we...

"Y/n!"

I looked up from my phone and saw Brooke waving at me. I nodded at her and put the phone down again. I had to think about that and about Thomas later.

After i had taken food i walked over to brooke and the girls. I hadn't met either Kylie or Lizzy for a long time. Sure, we went to parallel classes, but we used to be able to see each other every now and then. We were friends but we didn't hang out very often after school unless it was a party or something. I liked them, of course, but they could really get on my nerves.

"Hey, what's up?" Kylie asked as i sat down.

"Good" i said and took a bite of the food.

"Are you mad or something?"

I looked up and raised my eyebrows questioningly.

"Uh, no?"

"No more than usual anyway" Kylie continued teasingly and laughed. Yeah, like i said, she could get on my nerves.

"I'm not mad" i muttered glancing at Brooke who was pretending like nothing and scrolling through her phone.

"Are you ready for the ski trip?" Lizzy asked with an expectant smile.

The ski trip was something that every cohort from the social line went on every year. It had become a bit of a thing and was classified as the most important event of the year, whether you could ski or not. I had missed last year when i had been ill but realized quite quickly when everyone was back that it was a must to go along, because it was the only thing people talked about afterwards....and the rest of the year.

"Yes, but it's like three and a half weeks until then" i said and didn't feel particularly stressed at all.

"Uhm, three and a half weeks? We are leaving on wednesday next week."

I literally put the water down my throat. I coughed as tears welled up in my eyes. Wednesday next week? it was only five days away. Where did i get three and a half weeks from?

"Are you serious? How the hell did time go by so fast?" i asked hoarsely, clearing my throat.

"I know you have had a lot of other things but i was sure you had it figured out" Brooke said laughing.

"Other things? Like what?" Kylie asked curiously.

"Nothing special, just a lot at school" i said and rolled my eyes.

"Sure?" she continued grinning so i just sighed and leaned back in my chair.

"Absolutely sure. But hey, can we help each other pack this weekend?" i asked Brooke.

"Sure" she answered somewhat absently, looking down at her phone. Okay?

I was still leaning back in the chair when i picked up my phone to look around on instagram or mostly just pass the time. I half listened to Kylie and Lizzy who talked about everything from what they should take with them on the trip to some gossip circulating at school. Luckily it seemed that the incidents between me and Thomas were out of the gossip anyway.
