Brooke and i stood in silence in the elevator on the way up to the restaurant. We hadn't said much to each other in the last few hours, but that would pass. We probably just needed to digest everything first, both of us, i thought, straightening myself.

Thomas had been surprisingly quiet when he came out of the bathroom, said a quick hello to Brooke, then got dressed in silence and left. He had almost seemed mad, but what do i know, surely nothing to worry about. It had been a hard day so i could understand he was not in a good mood.

The elevator stopped and i took a deep breath. I wasn't exactly nervous, just really uncomfortable about this dinner with the gang. Both having to sit and eat with my brother but also having to see kylie again, last time it hadn't ended so well and if she mentioned Thomas as hers one more time i would slap her.

"Are you coming?" Brooke asked making me wince.

It took a few seconds before i realized that i was still standing in the elevator, so i just nodded and followed her out into the restaurant.

As we approached the table we sat at each time, all i saw was Jake, Will and my brother. I was a little relieved because Kylie and Lizzy hadn't arrived yet, so it could have been worse.

"Where is thomas?" i quietly whispered to myself when i couldn't see him anywhere.

"Hey girls" Jake said with a big smile on his face.

"Hey?" i mumbled and sat down next to Brooke.

Wonder why dylan was so happy? sure it was fun to be on the hill today but still, he looked almost ridiculously pleased. I raised my eyebrows at him questioningly but he just grinned even more.

"What is it?" i asked but only got a flirtatious wink in response.

I lightly shook my head and turned my gaze towards the restaurant. Where was the rest of the gang, anyway? i was hungry and wasn't going to sit here and wait for any length of time.

As if they read my thoughts, i saw Kylie and Lizzy walking towards us, one more dressed up than the other. You can guess who are who. Kylie was made up from head to toe as if she was going out to a nightclub. Oh my god! sure, me and Brooke could have also fixed up for the evening but the way Kylie looked, well, it was just too much.

I looked up when i felt Kylie stop right next to me. I raised my eyebrows questioningly as she just glared down at me. But please, what was she mad about this time? Thomas again? even she could tell he hadn't arrived yet.

"Where is thomas?" she asked shortly so i just sighed and looked away.

"How the hell would i know?" i grumbled, reaching for the jug of water, just to have something to do so i wouldn't hit her.

"Beacuse you went with him today?"

"And?"

"So where is he?"

"But are you really deaf? I have no idea where he is? He might have met a chick he's fucking, you know, that's actually what Thomas are good at!" i snarled annoyed, so it was quiet around the table, except for Kylie who snorted loudly.

"So, shall we eat or?" i continued, standing up.

Without waiting for an answer i walked over to the serving table and took a deep breath. This evening was off to a good start, i thought and breathed out a deep sigh. It was more exhausting than i had thought to pretend i hated Thomas. But that was what we had agreed on so what choice did i have? when this trip was over maybe we could say openly that we were together. It somehow felt easier to deal with the consequences, like a pissed off Alex and Kylie, once we were back home because quite honestly, even if they got mad there was nothing either of them could do about it. It was me and Thomas now.
