I spun around in front of the mirror and couldn't stop smiling. It was a real date with Thomas so that's why i had dressed up for a real date. The hair was done, the make-up was done and even though it was winter, i had put on a dress. Not my short whore's dress, although Thomas would surely appreciate it, but a regular nice dress.
"You are so beautiful, sweetheart."
I quickly turned to the door and met my mother's smile.
"Thanks, i didn't hear you standing there" i said turning to the mirror again.
"The door was open so i didn't knock. Are you getting ready?"
"Yeah, i think so" i mumbled but couldn't stop smiling.
I don't know why it felt so edgy today. I was just going to meet Thomas, something i have done like a million times before, certainly mostly during moments of irritation and hatred, but it felt special now that it was a real date. Had i been on a real date before? maybe, if a coffee was counted as a date, but never been invited to dinner.
Although it wasn't really true, maybe my two meetings with Ace would have been called dates.
Ace, i hadn't thought about him since we left the mountains. It was giod that i haven't because i was immediately reminded of the kiss. Shit, i had completely forgotten about the kiss and it was something i really wanted to forget, especially on a night like this.
"You are looking great, the most beautiful girl in the world" my mom said and stood behind me so i met her gaze in the mirror.
"You are my mother, it's your duty" i mumbled, shaking my head slightly, i wasn't going to think about Ace again, never again.
"I can promise you that even Thomas thinks you are the most beautiful girl in the world."
"Calm down now, that's probably exaggerating a bit" i said but she just laughed before walking back to the door.
"I will go and start the car, come down when you are ready."
"Okay" i mumbled and spun one last time in front of the mirror before i got my phone and bag. I couldn't be more ready than this.
The short drive seemed to take forever before we turned into Thomas's driveway. I couldn't help but think of the last time i was here as i looked out the car window. It wouldn't happen again, no fight, just like Thomas said.
"Are you excied?" mom asked so i raised my eyebrows at her in amusement.
"Yeah a little, but i'm more nervous" i said looking up at the house again.
"It's normal and i guess you are going to sleep over?" she continued with an amused tone so i felt my cheeks heat up. Typical mom, so damn embarrassing.
"I think so" i mumbled and unbuckled my seat belt.
"You don't have to be ashamed Y/n, i know you and Thomas are having sex" she said making me gasp. Like i said, so damn embarrassing.
"But please! I don't want to talk about it. Thanks for the ride" i said and hurried out of the car, one more minute of embarrassing sex talk with my mom and i would never come home again.
"Have fun and take care of yourselves" she said before i slammed the door shut. Oh my God.
I shook my head and took a deep breath before walking to the front door. My hand almost shook as i pressed the bell. Maybe i was a little more nervous than i thought.
I heard the lock turn and literally held my breath as Thomas opened the door. However, i couldn't help but laugh when i saw his eyes widen.
"Oh my god. Love, you.....you look....wow"
