My enemy since childhood

Chapter 44

The butterflies in my stomach increased significantly as we turned into the school parking lot. I had probably never seen so many cars there at the same time, but what made me scream and hug Brooke even harder were the two big buses that stood in the middle of the parking lot.

"I'm so excited and nervous at the same time" i said and opened the car door when we had stopped the car.

"Me too, but we have to hurry so we get good seats. It's crazy how many people are already here, i never thought about how many of them actually walk the community line" Brooke said and hurried out close behind me.

"You can sit with us, right?" Dylan asked as he helped us unpack our bags.

"Yeah, of course. But Kylie and Lizzy also wanted to sit with us, do you think there are that many seats next to each other?" Brooke continued.

"We will work it out" Dylan said with a flirtatious wink before he and Brooke started walking away towards the buses.

"Have so much fun now but be careful on the hill, it's easy to get hurt" my mom said and hugged me.

"Thanks, we really will and yes, we will take it carefully. I will see you on saturday and thanks for the ride" i said before i jogged to catch up with them.

I arrived just as Thomas, Jake and Will came walking towards us. I swallowed a little nervously, it wasn't just the journey that made my stomach churn.

"Hello" Thomas said and winked flirtatiously as he smiled and took my bag from me to pack it into the bus which surprised me but was kind of cute.

"Hey" i said quietly and looked down at the ground.

He was handsome in the soft clothes he was wearing. He was wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled up so only part of his hair was hanging out.

"Hi babe, are you ready for some naughty fun, just you and me?" Jake asked with a smile and put one arm around my shoulders, snapping me out of my dreamy thoughts.

I glanced at Brooke who just rolled her eyes. But i was grateful that Dylan was also packing bags, otherwise Jake's little comment would have been the start of a disaster.

"Not really beacuse you and me Dylan, that will never happen!" i hissed and pulled out of his grip but he just laughed.

"Yeah sweetie it's gonna happen and i'm really looking forward to it so you can put this playing elusive thing down."

"What the hell don't you understand? it will never happen!" i hissed dejectedly, i was getting really tired of this.

"What's the matter?" Thomas asked, standing next to me, he must have heard what Jake just said.

"Nothing, we are just making some plans" Jake replied teasingly and i saw how Thomas clenched his jaws. Please, i don't want to start the trip with a fight!

I couldn't even bring myself to comment so i just shook my head and walked over to Brooke. Even Kylie and Lizzy had gotten there and were laughing at something i had completely missed.

I couldn't help but scan Kylie up and down and raise my eyebrows. She was made up from head to toe, her hair was curled, her makeup looked like she was going to a party and her clothes looked so new that the price tag might as well have been left on.
