I sighed and gestured for Caleb to follow me. Ethan looked up as we both entered the lounge.

"I need a word." Caleb said.

"What is it this time?" Ethan sighed.

"In private." Caleb said as he glanced at me.

"No whatever you have to say you can say in front of Emma." Ethan told him.

"I want to know what the hell this is all about?!" he exclaimed as he held up some papers.

Ethan frowned at him.

"Mum's will." Caleb added.

"What about it?" Ethan asked.

"You having control of my share until I'm 'mature'." Caleb said, gesturing inverted commas.

"You received that letter ages ago, and you decide to talk about it now." Ethan sighed.

"I only opened it today." Caleb replied.

"Or you thought you'd try and ruin Christmas just like you ruin everything." Ethan said.

Caleb stared at him quietly. I looked between the two of them, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"As for the will I didn't write it so it's not my fault." Ethan told him.

"I'm mature now, so I can have my share." Caleb pointed out.

"You're not mature." Ethan sighed.

"You can just give me my share anyway." Caleb insisted.

"No I can't, I respect Mum's wishes." Ethan told him.

I glanced at Caleb and saw that he was becoming very angry.

"Why don't the two of you talk about it after Christmas?" I suggested.

"This has nothing to do with you!" Caleb snapped.

"Actually it does you're ruining my Christmas too." I told him.

"Don't talk to my girlfriend like that." Ethan added.

Caleb raised his eyebrows and looked between Ethan and me.

"So you're playing real life doctors and nurses." he said sarcastically.

I smiled slightly.

"I didn't see that coming." Caleb whispered as he watched me closely. I looked away from his gaze.

"You'd better get yourself a good lawyer." Caleb hissed, as he turned on his heel and walked out.
