I jumped as I rounded the corner and almost bumped into Ethan.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" he chuckled.

"Looking for you." I told him.

"Well I guess you found me then." he teased.

I nodded slowly, not really in the mood for his banter.

"So what is it?" he asked.

"You have a visitor." I said quietly.

I watched his face closely, waiting to see how he would react.

"She said her name is Kirstie." I added.

"She's a bit early". he said, glancing at the clock.

"You are expecting her?" I frowned.

He nodded.

"I'll tell her to wait in the staff room until my shift is finished." he said as he walked away.

I stared after him, slightly confused by his behaviour. Why was he being so secretive with me? It wasn't like him at all.

"Nurse Chambers, I need your help?" I heard Zoe call.

I sighed and went to look for her.

Robyn smiled at me as she sat next to me.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" I frowned.

"You've been staring at the computer for half an hour and haven't typed anything." she pointed out.

"Ethan's acting a bit strange." I sighed.
I quickly stopped talking as Ethan walked over.

"Are you coming for lunch?" he asked me.

"Is that the time already?!" I exclaimed.

He smiled and nodded.

"I have stuff to do." I said quietly.

His face fell and he looked at me sadly, before turning and walking away. I still wanted to avoid him because of what had happened. To make matters worse he was being cryptic about Kirstie. I couldn't even be bothered to ask who she was, I had enough on my plate right now.

I glanced over at the staff room and saw them laughing together. I hadn't seen Ethan look so happy in a long time. I felt a pang of jealously.

"What the hell is she doing here?!" I jumped as Caleb hissed in my ear.

"Who?" I frowned.

"Kirstie." he stated.

"You know her?!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah you could say that." he said, scratching his head uncomfortably.

"Who is she?" I asked, becoming more suspicious.

"She better not be working here." he said quietly.

"Caleb." I said, trying to get him to answer my question.

"Let me know when she's gone." he whispered, before walking away.

AN: Sorry it took so long to update, I haven't been feeling great. I hope this chapter makes up for it.
