I jumped as I heard a knock at the bedroom door.
"It's Kirstie." I heard her say.
I silently groaned before opening the door.
"I made you a cup of tea, thought you'd need one after the long shift." she said.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"Are you okay?" she asked as she perched on the bed next to me.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I frowned.
"You seem sad about something." she stated.
"I'm here if you want someone to talk too." she added.
"Thanks." I said quietly.
"You don't work weekends do you?" she asked.
"No, why?" I frowned.
"I thought maybe we could go wedding dress shopping tomorrow, Ethan suggested it." she grinned.
"Sure." I sighed.
I knew that I had to give her a chance, after all it could be fun.
"Do you want to come out with us?" she asked.
"Now?" I said quietly.
"Yeah we're going to the pub for dinner." she stated happily.
"Probably have a few drinks too." she winked.
I coughed on my mouthful of tea.
"Ethan doesn't drink!" I spluttered.
"I'm probably a bad influence." she chuckled.
"I think I'll stay here." I said quietly.
"Are you sure?" she asked sadly.
"Yeah, I'm quite tired." I whispered.
"Okay, see you later then." she said.
I nodded and smiled falsely. I drank my tea quickly and took my cup downstairs.
"Why aren't you coming with us?" Ethan questioned as soon as he saw me.
"I'm not in the mood, I just fancy a night in." I told him.
"We'll stay in too then." he said.
"No, I'll be fine, go and have fun." I insisted as I pushed him out the door.
"See you later." he said as he pecked me on the lips.
"Just you and me Koda." I sighed as I closed the door.
I curled up on the sofa and switched on the tv. I jumped as my phone buzzed. It was a text from Caleb:
Can I pop round?
I sighed and quickly replied.
Yeah sure
To be honest I was quite looking forward to having some company. Half an hour later, I heard a knock at the door.
"Hey." I smiled as I opened the door.
"Is she here?" he whispered.
"No, she's gone out with Ethan." I sighed.
He breathed a sigh of relief and followed me to the living room.
"Is she staying with you guys?" he asked.
"Yep." I said.
"How long for?" he questioned.
"I don't know." I sighed.
"You must know." he insisted.
"For god sake what the hell has gotten into you?!" I exclaimed.
"Nothing!" he said defensively.
"You've been acting weird since she got here." I pointed out.
"Just leave it." he said quietly.
"Fine." I sighed.
"Anyway, how are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm fine." I whispered.
"Emma." he whispered softly.
"What?" I asked him.
"You're not fine." he said quietly.
"It's driving a wedge between us, he knows something is going on, but I can't bring myself to tell him what it is." I admitted.
"I don't like seeing you hurting." he sighed.
"You know that I'm here for you right?" he added.
"Yeah I know." I whispered as I curled up and rested my head on his lap.

I jumped as I awoke, I slowly rubbed my eyes and saw that my head was still in Caleb's lap.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked as I slowly sat up.
"An hour or so." he said.
"Did you have a nice dream?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows.
"What are you talking about?" I frowned.
"You were saying my name." he grinned.
I stared at him and felt my cheeks flush.
"I didn't have a dream." I said quietly.
"Are you sure?" he asked."Pretty sure." I said hesitantly.
"I'm only kidding." he laughed.
I glanced at him and threw a cushion at him.
"You should have seen your face." he said still laughing.
"You're an arse." I said trying to glare at him, but I couldn't help smiling.
I turned around as I heard a car pull up.
"I guess they are back." I sighed.
"Shit!" he exclaimed as he lept off the sofa and quickly walked into the kitchen.
"Where are you going?" I asked as I followed him.
"Sneaking out the back door." he stated.
"Don't be daft." I sighed.
"I can't face her." he said quietly.
"They'll see your car anyway." I pointed out.
"Taylor has the car, I got a taxi." he stated.
"I'll see you Monday." he said as he quickly hugged me and went out the back door.
