I stood frozen to the spot as his words sunk in. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was obvious that we has a special connection, but I never expected anything like this to happen.
How could he even allow himself to feel that way when he knew that I
was engaged to his brother? What kind of person did that make him?
I looked into his eyes as he watched me closely, clearly waiting for
some sort of reaction.

"Please tell me you're joking?!" I exclaimed eventually.

He shook his head slowly.

"I'm engaged to Ethan, you know that." I said quietly.

"It doesn't have to be that way." he pointed out.

I stared at him, completely speechless once again, as I realised what he was suggesting.

"Don't go there." I warned him.

"You can't tell me that you don't feel something for me." he said quietly.

"I can see it in your eyes." he added as he stepped towards me. I quickly stepped back.

"Stop it Cal." I told him sternly.

"Why?" he smiled as he continued stepping towards me.

"I said stop it." I repeated.

He smiled slyly and leaned towards me. I watched as his lips inched
closer and closer to mine, powerless to stop the forces that were
drawing me towards him. I moved away quickly as I felt his lips brush
against mine.

"I love Ethan and we are getting married." I stated.

He scoffed and watched me closely.

"You need to get a grip." I said as I turned on my heel and stormed
into the bathroom.
