I sighed in relief as lunch break eventually arrived. It had been a long morning. I didn't want to sit alone in the staff room. I grabbed my lunch box and walked to Emma's room.

"How are you feeling?" I asked as soon as I reached her room.

"Bored." she grinned.

I rolled my eyes as I sat down.

"I can't wait to get out of here and get back to work." she sighed.

"You thought you'd eat your lunch with me." she smiled.

I nodded as I took a bite of my sandwich.

"Do you have the radio on?" I frowned.

"Yeah it's on really quietly, I can turn it off if you want?" she offered.

"It's fine, I don't mind." I answered.

I watched as she frowned and quickly turned the radio up.

"I know this song from somewhere." she whispered.

I gasped as I heard Nothing Can Stop Us Now by Starship playing. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I realised it was our song.

I watched her as she frowned and listened closely.

"Where do I know this song from?" she asked.

"Maybe you've heard it on the radio before." I suggested.

"No that's not it." she said thoughtfully.

I sighed as the song finished.

"I want to hear it again!" she said frantically as she pressed buttons on the radio.

"Not sure that's going to work." I smiled at her.

"It seems so familiar." she whispered.

"If you really want to listen to it again, it's on my phone." I sighed.

"Really?!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah it's my favourite song." I told her.

"I didn't realise, maybe that's where I know it from then." she said quietly.

"Probably." I said smiling slightly.

I rummaged in my pocket and handed her my phone and headphones.

"Here you can hold onto this until I finish my shift." I told her.

"Thanks." she smiled at me.

"I have to get back to work now." I sighed.

I quickly left the room. She had recognised our song, the one that we danced to before we even got together. Maybe there was a chance that she'd remember me after all.
