A couple of weeks had passed since my first counselling session. It had gone well, once I'd relaxed I'd found it surprisingly easy to open up about everything I'd been through and what I was feeling. Ethan had arranged twice weekly sessions for me and it was really helping. I still didn't feel like my old self again, but I was getting there. As part of the healing process the counsellor had suggested that I become more involved with my family. Ever since she'd suggested it, I couldn't stop thinking about it.

"Ethan." I said as we sat on the grass in the park.

"Hmm." he said as he looked up from his book.

"I can't stop thinking about something the counsellor said." I said thoughtfully.

"What did she say?" he asked.

"That I should be involved with my family, to get a support system of relatives." I told him.

He put down his book and frowned at me thoughtfully.

"I suppose it's a good idea, but you don't know who your parents are." he pointed out.

"I don't even know their names." I whispered.

"We can try and find them if that's what you want?" he offered.

"I don't know if I want to go through all that hassle just for them to probably want nothing to do with me anyway." I sighed.

"They might not be like that." he said quietly.

"I was thinking more of getting in touch with Stuart." I said carefully.

"No!" he exclaimed.

"Please tell me your joking?!" he added.

"It's just a thought." I shrugged.

"Have you forgotten that he left you in the road?!" he exclaimed.

"First of all he knew you were there and secondly Cal stole from you and he's still in your life." I pointed out.

"But..what if he hasn't changed and gets in with a bad crowd again?" he asked.

"Well maybe it's a risk that I should take." I sighed.

"I just want to know what your thoughts are?" I asked him.

"You know what I think of him, but if you want him in your life then it's your choice." he sighed.

"I'll just text him for a while and see how it goes." I said.

"If you do meet him, I'll come with you." he said.

"I know you don't trust him, but he wouldn't hurt me." I reassured him.

"I'd rather just make sure." he stated.

I smiled at him. I jumped as I heard a scream.

"What is it?" he asked as I looked around nervously.

"Didn't you hear that?" I frowned.

"Hear what?" he asked.

"A woman screaming." I told him.

"There it is again!" I added as I heard the sound again.

"I heard it that time." he said quietly.

"Ethan she might be in trouble." I said starting to panic.

He stood up quickly.

"It sounds like it's coming from over there." he said as he pointed towards the woods.

"Wait for me!" I called as he quickly ran towards the sound.
