"Emma!" I heard Kirstie call from the hallway.

"Yeah!" I called back as I put dinner into the oven.

"It's here!" she squealed excitedly.

I quickly closed the oven and wandered into the hall.

"What's here?" I asked her.

"The dress." she said excitedly as she handed it to me.

"I'd better try it on then." I said running upstairs, closely followed by Kirstie.

I closed the door to my bedroom and quickly tried the dress on. It fit like a glove. I wandered out to the landing and stood in front of the mirror.

"Wow it looks stunning." Kirstie breathed.

I nodded slowly as I looked at it from different angles.

"I feel so confident in it." I admitted.

"That's probably because it really suits you." she complimented me.

"Ooh what's the occasion?" Caleb asked as he came out of his bedroom.

"I'm getting married remember." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Isn't that a bit short for a wedding dress." he grinned.

"Well I don't want something traditional, I like this one." I told him.

He watched me closely until I eventually looked away from his intense gaze.

"You look beautiful." he said intensely.

"Thanks." I blushed.

I jumped as I heard the front door open and close.

"Oh my god, is that Ethan?!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah probably." Kirstie said as she glanced at her watch.

"Emma!" Ethan called from downstairs.

"I'm up here, but you can't come up!" I called back.

"Why what's going on?" he asked worridly.

"Nothing, everything's fine." I said, trying to reassure him.

I gasped as I heard him climbing the stairs. Kirstie and I ran into my bedroom and quickly closed the door.
"You can't come in." I told him as I leant against the door.

"Why not?" he asked.

"I thought you said the counselling was helping." he added.

"No....it's not because of that, I am trying on my wedding dress and you're not allowed to see it until the day." I said quietly.

He didn't respond, it was obvious that he was trying to decide whether I was telling the truth or not.

"Kirstie is in here with me." I said quickly.

"Hey Ethan!" she called, to prove it to him.

"Okay when will you girls be down?" he asked, finally believing us.

"Soon." I told him.

I looked at Kirstie and burst out laughing as we heard Ethan walking away.

"That was close." I giggled.

"It's so cute how much he loves you." she said randomly.

"Like how he wouldn't leave until he knew you were okay." she added.

"Yeah, I'm lucky." I smiled.

"Yeah you are, I wish I had a relationship like that." she said sadly.

"You will do." I reassured her.

"Could you help me with this zip?" I said, trying to distract her.

"Sure." she sighed.
