"Have you seen Cal?" I asked Ethan as I wandered into the kitchen.

"I think he's in his room." he answered.

"Why do you ask?" he added.

"I need to talk to him about Kirstie." I told him.

"What about her?" he frowned.

"She still loves Caleb." I whispered.

"Oh no Emma, don't play Cupid, it won't end well." he sighed.

"It'll be fine." I smiled at him.

I heard him groan as I left the room and quickly climbed the stairs. As I stood outside Caleb's bedroom door, I took a deep breath and raised my hand to knock. I jumped as the door opened, before I'd had the chance to knock.

"Oh hello!" Caleb exclaimed when he saw me.

"Hey." I smiled.

"I was just coming to talk to you." he stated.

"That's handy, because I need to speak to you too." I told him.

He smiled and gestured for me to come in.

"So are you feeling better now?" he asked as soon as he closed the door.

"Yeah I am actually." I smiled.

"So no more hurting yourself?" he asked.

"I didn't come here to talk about that." I said dismissively.

As he sat opposite me, I noticed for the first time that he was holding an envelope.

"What's that?" I frowned.

"It's for you and Ethan." he said quietly as he handed me the envelope.
I glanced at him and opened the envelope, I gasped as I pulled out a cheque for fifteen thousand pounds. I looked up at him and saw him smile at me.

"I sold my car." he stated.

"How are you going to get to work?" I asked him quietly.

"I'll use public transport." he smiled.

"I didn't really need the car and I wanted to pay you guys back." he added.

"I'm sure Ethan will really appreciate it." I said happily.

"There's more in the envelope." he smiled.

I glanced at him and tipped the envelope upside down. My heart stopped as a silver bracelet landed on my hand. It was a beautiful flower design with crystals.

"It's beautiful." I breathed.

"I thought I should get you something as an apology." he said quietly.

"You didn't have to do that." I told him.

"I know." he smiled as he took the bracelet and gently put it on my wrist. My skin tingled as his fingers brushed against my wrist. I looked into his eyes as he smiled at me.

"Thanks for the bracelet." I said as I quickly looked away.

"Sure." he sighed.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" he added.

"Oh yeah, I think you should talk to Kirstie." I said.

"About what?" he frowned.

"Just come with me." I said as I stood up and gestured for him to follow me. He sighed and followed me.
