"Morning sleepyhead." I heard Ethan whisper in my ear.

"What time is it?" I groaned.

"Half eight." he chuckled.

"Oh my god, I never lay in that long." I said as I quickly sat up.

"You obviously had a late night." he teased.

I quickly looked at him, terrified that he'd heard the whole conversation, but was relieved when I saw that he was grinning.

"I couldn't get back to sleep." I admitted.

"What do you want to do today?" he asked happily.

"I don't know but I'm going into town later." I told him.

"Am I invited?" he grinned.

"Depends on whether you are going to behave yourself." I smiled.

"Why wouldn't I behave?" he frowned.

"Because I'm meeting Stuart." I sighed.

"Really?!" he exclaimed, as he climbed out of bed and pulled a shirt on.

"Yeah." I chuckled.

"It'll be fine." I reassured him.

"That remains to be seen." he said sarcastically.

"Stop moaning." I told him as I climbed out of bed.

I stood in front of him and looked into his eyes as I gently stroked his chest. He sighed and looked down at me.

"What's this?" he asked as he took my arm and stared at my wrist.

"It's just a gift from Cal." I shrugged.

He sighed and let go of my arm.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"Nothing." he sighed.

"Oh c'mon Ethan, just tell me." I said quietly.

"I just think it's a bit odd." he sighed.

"What do you mean?" I frowned.

"The fact that he's buying you beautiful gifts." he answered.

"I think he felt bad." I told him.

"Yeah maybe." he said thoughtfully.

"What?" I asked him.

"I think he's in love with you." he whispered.

"Maybe." I whispered as my heart dropped. How did he know that? I couldn't bear to tell him the truth, he was insecure enough already. He watched me closely.

"It doesn't matter though, what's important is how we feel." I smiled.

He smiled at me as I kissed him gently.

"I guess you're right." he said quietly.

"Yeah I am." I grinned as I slowly took his shirt off.
