Emma's POV

"Hey." I heard Ethan whisper in my ear the following morning.

"What?" I asked quietly.

"We have to get ready for work." he stated.

"I'm not going." I told him.

"What?!" he exclaimed.

"I don't feel like it." I sighed.

"Connie will go mad!" he exclaimed.

"No she won't, I called and said that I need a couple of weeks off." I told him.

He stared at me for a moment.

"When were you planning to tell me?" he said quietly.

"Now I guess." I shrugged.

He sighed and watched me closely. I knew he was annoyed with me but was trying to hide it.

"I guess I'd better go then." he said quietly as he stood up and quickly walked away.

"Ethan!" I called after him.

He ignored me and continued walking. I sighed and pulled the covers over my head.

"Hey you." I jumped as I heard Caleb's voice. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that he'd crawled under the covers with me.

"What time is it?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

"Almost dinner time." he chuckled.

"Why aren't you at work?" I frowned.

"I have the day off, what's your excuse?" he grinned.

"I've taken a couple of weeks off." I sighed.

"Well you can't spend the whole time moping in bed." he stated as he climbed out.

I sighed as I felt him grab my arms and pull me out of bed.

"Now isn't that better." he winked.

"I prefer it under there." I said quietly.

"What's gotten into you lately?" he asked as he sat on the bed next to me.

"Nothing." I answered, shaking my head.

"I'm here for you if you need someone to talk too." he whispered.

"Thanks." I said dismissively.

"I care about you." he whispered.

"A lot." he added when I didn't respond.

I turned and looked into his eyes, he had a strange look on his face. One that I'd never seen before. I watched as his face inched closer to mine. I glanced down at his lips as they gently brushed against mine. I was in to much shock to kiss him back, I had no idea what was happening. As I closed my eyes, I thought for a moment that it was Ethan who was kissing me. But this felt completely different, Ethan was always gentle and tender, but with Caleb it was urgent and passionate. It took me back to the night that we'd spent together. NO! I told myself sternly. I quickly regained my thoughts and pulled away from him.

"You shouldn't have done that." I whispered.

"No you're right he shouldn't." I heard Ethan's voice from behind me.
