Ethan's POV

I sighed as I listened to her sleeping. I held her close. She thought I was upset about her lying but the truth is, I was still hurting because of the miscarriage. I needed someone to talk to about it, but I couldn't bear the thought of speaking to Caleb about it. I'd rather suffer in silence than open up to him. I needed to do something to cheer us both up. I glanced at the clock and snuck out of bed.

Emma's POV

I awoke slowly and stretched. I frowned when I realised that I was no longer in Ethan's arms. I glanced at the clock and saw that I only had a few hours before I had to be back at work. I quickly dressed and made my way downstairs. I smiled as I saw a note on the table. It was from Ethan saying that he'd popped out. I filled the kettle and glanced up as Caleb wandered into the room.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Hi." he grinned.

"Do you want a coffee?" I offered.

"I'd love one." he beamed.

"Is Ethan still in bed?" he chuckled.

"He's gone out." I told him.

"Oooh look we've got Cappuccino sachets!" I exclaimed as I found them in the cupboard.

"It's not that exciting." he grinned.

He laughed as I glared at him. I quickly made the coffees and handed it to him.

"Where's the cream?!" he protested cheekily.

"This isn't a cafe." I laughed.

I smiled as he walked over to the fridge and started rummaging.

"Here it is!" he said happily as he found some squirty cream.

He grinned happily as he put some on top of his coffee.

"That's gross." I said as he squirted some in his mouth.

He shrugged and smiled at me.

I jumped as I heard the front door close.

"Ethan?" I called questioningly.

"Yeah it's me!" he called back.

"Come through here a sec, I've got something for you." he added.

I glanced at Caleb and shrugged. I quickly wandered through to the lounge.

"I've been shopping." Ethan grinned at me.

"What have you brought now?" I chuckled.

He grinned and handed me a bag. I smiled and opened the bag. I chuckled as I saw a pile of wedding magazines.

"I think it's about time we start planning our wedding." he grinned.

"I only have a couple of hours until I have to leave for work." I told him.

"I know, but we can have a look." he said as he placed the magazines on the coffee table.

I smiled and sat on the floor next to him. His excitement was infectious.

"What do you want to start with?" he asked.

"I haven't got a clue." I admitted.

I picked up a magazine and began to flick through. I hadn't realised there was so much to do. I sighed as I picked up yet another magazine.

"Seen anything you like yet?" Ethan asked half an hour later.

"Nope, you?" I said.

"It's your day you can choose." he grinned.

"Hey lovebirds." Caleb said as he entered the room and sat on the sofa.

"It all looks like such a hassle, it's meant be fun." I sighed.

"I was just thinking the same thing." Ethan admitted.

"Are you two wedding planning?" Caleb asked.

"Yeah trying too, but it's mind boggling." I answered.

"Hand me a magazine." he said.

I sighed and handed him one. I returned to my magazine and slowly read the pages.

"This is a nice dress." Caleb said as he held up the magazine.

"Ewww." I said when I saw it.

He rolled his eyes and continued looking.

"You're not really into this are you?" Ethan asked quietly.

"I just don't think I want a wedding like this." I admitted.

"Like what?" he asked.

"The whole princess thing, with the big dress, flowers, cake and all that stuff." I sighed.

I jumped as Caleb's phone rang and he left to answer it.

"What if we just had something really small and intimate?" I suggested.

"Just the two of us, on a beach or something." I added.

I looked into his eyes as he stared at me.

"What?" I chuckled.

"I really like that idea." he whispered.

I pulled out my phone. I smiled as he shuffled to sit behind me and peered over my shoulder.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Looking into private weddings, it says you need someone to marry you and one witness." I told him.

"I'm sure we could easily arrange that." he grinned.

"We just have to decide where we want it to be." I whispered.

I looked up as Caleb came back into the room.

"What did I miss?" he asked.

"Not much." Ethan said quietly.

"We need to leave for work soon." Caleb told me as he glanced at his watch.

"I'll do some research while you're gone." Ethan winked.

"I guess I'll go and get ready then." I sighed.
