"What the hell are you doing here?" I hissed at Caleb.

"I need to talk to Ethan." he said quietly.

"I doubt he'll want to talk to you right now." I said bluntly.

"You told him?!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah I did, either that or he was going to call the police." I told him.

I could feel myself getting angry as he glared at me.

"You should think yourself lucky you haven't been arrested." I glared at him.

"Can I come in?" he asked sadly.

"What do you want Caleb?" I sighed.

He sighed and looked me in the eye for the first time in a while.

"I need somewhere to stay." he whispered.

"Seriously!" I heard Ethan exclaim from behind me.

I turned to face Ethan and quickly took his hand, I knew how hard it must be for him to face Caleb.

"What's wrong with your own flat?" I piped up.

"It was Taylor's flat." he muttered.

"What do you mean 'was'?" Ethan asked.

"She's gone." he said quietly.

"Gone where?" Ethan frowned.

"I don't know, I went home and she was gone, the flat is locked." he said quietly.

"Maybe she went out." Ethan said sarcastically.

"All the stuff has been cleared out of the office and I can't reach her phone." he whispered.

"She's gone." he added sadly.

"Well you've finally met your match." Ethan sighed.

"I just need somewhere to crash for a few days, until I can find my own place." he told us.

"No way!" Ethan said angrily as he turned and walked away.

"I guess I'll sleep in the car then." Caleb whispered.

"Give me a minute." I sighed.

As much as I hated him right now, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He'd been in love with Taylor, and it was evident from his face that she'd broken his heart. Now he was alone. He'd upset me and Ethan and had no one else to turn too. I sighed and followed Ethan into the kitchen.

"Ethan I think we should let him stay." I said hesitantly.

"What?!" he exclaimed.

"He knows that he's done wrong, you can see it on his face." I told him.

He sighed and looked at me for a moment.

"How can we have him under the same roof after what he's done?" he pointed out.

"I don't know, but I feel sorry for him, he has nowhere else to go." I said quietly.

"Taylor obviously conned the money out of him." I added.

"Yeah I guess so." he whispered.

"I need that money back." he added.

"I know, maybe if you spoke to him, he would agree to pay it back." I suggested.

"Maybe." he said thoughtfully.

"I know what he's done is unforgivable, but we can't just abandon him." I sighed.

"Mum would want me to look out for him." he whispered almost to himself.
I nodded slowly. I felt bad for Ethan too, Caleb had stolen from him and now Caleb needed him. It was obvious that he wanted Caleb gone, but he wasn't that kind of person.

"I guess he can stay." he sighed.

I quickly hugged Ethan, I knew how hard it was for him to say those words.

"I'll go tell him." I said quietly.

I walked along the hall and saw Caleb looking at me hopefully.

"He said you can stay." I said shortly.

"Thanks." he said as he stepped towards me for a hug. I quickly stepped back.

"Only for a couple of weeks and you'd better pay him back." I said sternly.

I looked up as Kirstie walked down the stairs, she gasped as she laid eyes on Caleb. I glanced at Caleb and saw him quickly look away from her.

"Dr Knight." she said shortly.

"Dr Adams." he replied.

I stared after her as she quickly walked away from him.
