I quickly composed myself as Caleb entered the room.

"What was all that about?" he asked.

"I have no idea." I admitted.

"You must have done something to upset her." he pushed me.

"I told her how important she is to me and tried to kiss her." I started.

He looked at me and raised his eyebrow.

"She just totally freaked out." I added.

"She might have concussion and just be confused." he pointed out.

"I hope so." I said quietly.

I sighed and looked away from him. As much as I hoped that he was right I couldn't shake the feeling that something else was going on.

"I should see her." I said as I slowly stood up.

"She doesn't want to see you." he said quietly.

I froze in shock.

"Just give her some time." he added.

I nodded slowly.

"Why don't you wait in my car, I'll talk to her?" he suggested.

I jumped as he threw me his car keys, which I swiftly caught.

I sighed and slowly walked to his car. I felt numb. I hated that my medical knowledge was giving me a good idea of what the problem was. I pushed the thought away, I couldn't bear to even think about it.

I quickly climbed into Caleb's car and closed the door behind myself. I had never felt so helpless. Caleb was in there right now talking to her and I had no idea what he was saying to her. I had to hope that for once his intentions were good.

After what felt like an age Caleb appeared. I watched as he sat in the driver's seat and sighed.

"What's happening?" I asked nervously.

"I don't think she has a concussion." he said quietly.

I couldn't shake the feeling that he was afraid to tell me something.

"Caleb just tell me!" I snapped.

"She doesn't remember you at all....I think she has dissociative amnesia." he sighed.

I stared at him as I heard the words I'd been dreading.

"It's a condition that can occur as a result of post traumatic stress, the symptoms vary between patients. They only forget certain things from their lives that they associate with the accident. In this case she has forgotten you because you were there at the time." he explained.

"I know what it is!" I snapped.

I could feel his eyes on me as I processed what he'd told me.

"I'll help her remember." I whispered as I quickly climbed out of the car.
