Caleb's POV

I sat alone on the sofa in silence. Why did Kirstie have these feelings for me, that ship had sailed a long time ago. I had no idea how I felt about her, I couldn't stop thinking about Emma. She occupied my every waking thought. Ethan had no idea how lucky he was to have her. I would give anything to hold her and fall asleep beside her every night. I couldn't be with Kirstie when I was in love with someone else. I needed to see Emma. I sighed and quickly walked upstairs and stood outside her bedroom door. I took a deep breath and raised my hand ready to knock. I frowned as I heard voices. It sounded like they were talking about me. I pressed my ear to the door and listened closely.

Emma's POV

I stared at Caleb as he stood in the doorway and made eye contact with me. The shock and surprise was evident in his face, I'd never seen him look so pale. He swallowed slowly and turned away. Ethan glanced at me and shrugged.

"I'd better go after him." I said.

Ethan nodded and watched me as I stood up and followed Caleb.

"Cal wait?!" I called after him as I ran downstairs.

"I'm not in the mood." he called back.

"Just let me talk to you." I said.

I jumped as he stopped and turned to face me.

"What is there to say?!" he exclaimed.

"I know she shouldn't have kept it from you." I sighed.

"Damn right she shouldn't have!" he shouted.

"Cal, just calm down." I pleaded.

"I'm done!" he exclaimed.

"Done with what?" I frowned.

"With you, with Ethan and with her!" he said.

"Cal." I whispered as I stepped towards him.

"I said I'm done!" he shouted.

I watched as he turned and walked away, slamming the front door behind himself.
