A few days had passed since Ethan and I delivered Amy's baby. We'd been up to the ward a few times to visit and were thrilled that her and baby Jack were doing well. I'd returned to work a few days ago and was enjoying the distraction. It felt good to be helping people again. Friday had finally arrived and I was getting ready for a night out.

"Kirstie are you going to the work night out?" I asked as she lounged on my bed reading a magazine.

"I don't work there, so I'm not sure I'm invited." she answered.

"You can come along as our guest." I reassured her as I applied my eyeliner.

"Is Cal going?" she asked.

"Yeah I think so." I told her.

"Great." she groaned.

"He probably won't stay with us, he'll be chatting up woman at the bar like usual." I pointed out.

"Maybe I will tag along then." she grinned excitedly.

"It'll be fun." I smiled.

About an hour later I looked up as Ethan poked his head around the door.

"Are you girls ready?" he asked.

"Just about." I answered.

He gasped as I stood up.

"Wow you look amazing." he breathed quietly.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Cal's finally ready so we can head off." he grinned.

I smiled as he wrapped his arms around mine and Kirstie's shoulders as the three of us walked downstairs. Caleb watched us closely and followed us out to the car.

"I haven't been to a party in a long time." Kirstie told us as we set off.

"The last time I was at one, we got engaged." I told her as I took Ethan's hand and smiled at him. He smiled back quickly and then turned his attention back to the road.

"Try not to get totally smashed." Ethan told Kirstie.

"I could say the same to you." she chuckled.

"I'm the designated driver, I'm off the hook." he said smugly.

"I can drive home if you want to drink?" I offered.

"It's fine, you know my feelings about alcohol." he grinned.

"Yeah I guess I do." I chuckled.

I shook my head slowly as I heard Caleb groan at us.

"We're here." Ethan announced as we pulled up.

"It looks a bit rough." Kirstie said.

"Since when were you posh." Ethan teased her.

"I'm not, I'm just saying." she grinned.

I rolled my eyes at them as we walked into the bar. I glared at Caleb as he placed his arm around my shoulders, I moved away from him and took Ethan's hand. He smiled and winked at me. We walked into the bar and I winced slightly as the loud music hit me.

"I'll get some drinks." Caleb said as he walked over to the bar.

"Who's the curly haired guy?" Kirstie whispered in my ear.

"Lofty." I smiled.

"He's cute." she smiled.

"Do you want me to introduce you?" I offered.

"Yeah go on then." she winked.

I walked over to the group.

"Emma." Robyn said as she pulled me into a hug.

"Hey." I smiled at her.

"Kirstie this is Robyn, Max and Lofty. Guys this is Kirstie." I introduced everyone.

"Hi." Kirstie said sweetly to Lofty.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you." he smiled.
I glanced between the two of them and smiled as they flirted with their eyes.

"So are you a nurse?" she asked him.

"Yeah I am, I love it." he beamed.

"How about yourself?" he added.

"A doctor." she replied.

I watched as he stared at her for a while, he seemed fascinated.

"You have beautiful eyes." he complimented her.

"Thanks." she blushed.

"Everytime I look at them they are a different colour, one minute they are blue and the next they are green." he breathed.

"A lot of people have told me that." she said smiling happily.

I looked up as Caleb and Ethan joined us.

"I got you Archers and Lemonade, I remembered that it's your favourite." he told Kirstie as he stood between her and Lofty.

She smiled slightly and took the drink that he handed her.

I frowned at Caleb as he looked between Kirstie and Lofty, a strange look on his face.

"I think I'm gonna need another drink." Kirstie announced as she downed her drink.

"That girl needs to slow down a bit." Ethan chuckled.

"I think she's planning to get smashed." I smiled back.

"You can join her if you want, I'll drive home." he told me.

"I think I'll pass, I do stupid stuff when I'm drunk." I smiled.

"Well that sounds intriguing." Caleb piped up.

"I'll keep an eye on you." Ethan winked.

"Geez thanks." I said.

"Hey guys." Ian said as he joined the group.

"Hi Ian." I smiled at him.

"Have you told the others about your good deed yet?" he winked at me.

I shook my head slowly.

"They delivered a baby in the park." he told the group.

I blushed as everyone congratulated us.

"Anyone else would have done the same thing." Ethan said.

"Probably not, still it's good practice for when you guys have kids." he said as he clapped Ethan on the back.

"What?" I coughed on a mouthful of my drink.

"Ethan will be able to deliver your baby." he grinned.

I glanced at Ethan and sighed as he smiled awkwardly.

"I wouldn't bother having kids." Kirstie piped up.

The whole group fell silent, as Ethan and I rounded on her.

"Come again?!" Ethan exclaimed.

"Being pregnant is a nightmare, it's not as magical as everyone makes out." she slurred.

Ethan and I made eye contact and frowned at each other. We watched as she staggered out of the bar.
