I sighed as I held her tightly, I'd wanted to do this for so long that I almost couldn't believe it was happening.

"You have nothing to be sorry for." I whispered in her ear.

"Do you still want to marry me?" she whispered sadly.

"What?!" I gasped.

She pulled out of my arms and looked up at me.

"I must have put you through hell." she said.

"You remember?!" I exclaimed, not daring to hope.

She nodded slowly.

"Talking about it with the police brought it all back, I remember the accident and I remember you." she confirmed.

I stared at her as her words sunk in. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, it felt to good to be true. I had her back, everything was the way it should be.

"Sshh, don't cry." she whispered as she wiped the tears from my cheeks.

"I missed you so much." I admitted.

"I love you." she whispered against my lips.

"I love you too." I said, slightly breathless as we pulled apart.

"I'm sorry I moaned at you about Caleb." I told her.

"It's fine, let's just forget all about it." she smiled.

Emma's POV

I smiled up at his happy expression. I felt an overwhelming sense of relief as my memories had finally flooded back. All the confusion and uncertainty was over. If I'd known that talking about the accident would have helped I would've spoken about it sooner. I hated that I'd hurt him, I could see it in his eyes. I knew how lucky I was that he'd waited and been patient with me.

"Forgive me." I whispered.

"Of course I forgive you, it wasn't your fault. I'm just glad I've got you back." he said gently.

I smiled and kissed him.

"We'd better get back to work before we get into trouble." he grinned.

I looked down at his hand as he held it out to me. I took it and squeezed it gently. He smiled as I followed him.
