Introduction (House of Broken Rainbow)

First of all, this is not a drill.

This is a continuation story of Queen of Damn, so expect the timeline is after the predecessor. Though it may have some flashes or backstories to establish the whole narration the main thing here is, that this is an after story.

House of Broken Rainbow is an organization inside the Pentacosta Club. It has a strict systematic institution that handles a group of players and car racers. It has an established reputation for winning three consecutive years in Poker Royale, Manila Grand Prix series and Summer Slam All-out Battle. The three main events in poker, car racing and anything that concerns gambling.

Reina, Vonne, Art, Errol and JT were the main members and the best players in this house.

JT is the team leader and the proprietor of the house while others are the in-house players and pioneer members. He is considered one of the richest and most trusted henchmen of Jethro Mañalac, the business owner and the overall boss inside Pentacosta Club. He served to be the skipper, a known recruiter for his house and a mature player/racer.

Definitely, he is a real deal.

Arthur or Art is the first player that became a member of this house. He is an all-rounder player whether poker or dice game but he is far more a racer. He is a motocross racer before JT recruited him to his team. He and his best friend Errol joined the team, on one condition, that he will have a 70 percent cut for his solo performance and half of the team profits. Quite big for a talent fee.

At first, Art thought that it was just a gig for a motocross show or a demonstration of the big bike models that were showcased in the showroom. But he was wrong, it was a trap contract.

Errol, who is a long-time friend to Art joined him because of favor. Errol is just a simple high school boy with average skills. He hasn't played nor known any gambling games before and seemed to be the weakest link of the team. But he eventually build a better version of himself inside the club.

But an incident will occur that will lead him to a grave danger...

Reina is a bum.

A rebel stowaway that searching for a place to crash in when JT approached her and offered a very tempting opportunity.

Running away from her mom and stepdad, Reina found herself at the mercy of a stranger whom she bumped into in search of a place and easy money that night. JT gave her his card, paid for her mess and left her without further words. Because she was desperate, she agreed and called the number. A man named Ike showed up at her hotel room and took her to the Club.

That was the beginning of her life inside the club and the journey that awaits her.

Disgruntled and bored.

Vonne is one of the VIP club members of Pentacosta and is considered a patron. He and his brother, Yohann, often visit the club for business ventures but also leisure. He was often seen in the Manchu area, betting for the players and considered the highest bidder.

Vonne has no plan to join any house available but an eventful evening made him change his mind. He persistently pursued Reina and was determined to make her his girl, even if it means joining her in her venture as a player inside the club.

He was a dedicated suitor and an idly player.

Even though he was not quite serious, he is also a force to reckon with. Vonne is a typical jockey that loves to brag, his hobby of taking all of the credits and making a lasting impression on his girl. He is a self-proclaimed best poker player and king of roulette. Those kinds of things made his teammates beat their brows.

Vonne is full of himself, but surprisingly, he cared for his team, especially Reina above all. Most of the time, he only thought about himself and scoring Reina, but an incident inside the club made him realise that it was not a safe place for him and her.

When the fun is over, it was too late to make an emergency exit. Because the game that they played is bigger than they thought.

In the house of gambling, money is the main issue, but it begins to become serious if a member broke the code.

Gambling is the game,
Fame is the price,
Death is the last stage.

The information above will also occur and develop in King of Detriment although in minimal allotted chapters because the story will focus on the main character which is Jett. It's just that, those things happened/will happen in KOD.

Those events were inside the time frame of Jett's book, probably halfway to the ending or in the middle, it depends on my mood hehehe.

Anyways, this book is not totally grim and dark. I actually dedicate this book to the other characters that I've kept mentioning a few times or will be recurring in two books (QOD and KOD). Meaning it is a book dedicated to the supporting characters so, expect that consists of a lot of chapters. Well, if you are reading my stories for a while, you probably know how long my chapters are hahaha.

I will make a concise—short as possible—story for each and one of them. So in short or in layman's terms, it is a compilation of stories for the characters that are involved with Reina, friends or not, but also their journey in life whether a girl taking risks, a man trying to forget someone or an addict trying to control his early onset disorder etc. etc.

I just want to warn you guys, that it may or may not spoil some sequences from the other book (future book) so, just tune in to find out.

Also, I'm guessing I should also write a story for Reina in the end, just to give highlights to the future events in her second book. Well, that depends on me again.
