A year later (they are 11 years old)

"Congratz Sato and Tomura. Finally you guys became chunin." Inora congratulated her friends on their promotion. They were all at Ichiraku celebrating their promotion."Today is my treat eat up guys."

"Thank you for the food" after eating they stayed talking for a while. "I heard Itachi joined Anbu. Is it really true? Is a 11 year old even allowed in Anbu" Tomura asked amazed. "Yeah he is. He is starting tomorrow and he is part of Kakashi's team"

"Inora Namikaze. The Hokage summoned you" a chunin interrupted their conversation. "I will catch up later. Bye guys."

"I want you leaving tomorrow at first light. You will be leading the squad Inora" said the Hokage and gave her the details of the mission. It was a mission to gather information on a bunch of low level rougue ninjas. The Hokage put together some genin who was useful for such a job and chose Inora to lead it. Inora bowed and took her leave.

If she had to leave early tomorrow she cant see Itachi on his first day of Anbu. So she went to the Uchiha compound to tell him the news.

She saw some eyes glaring at her. She didnt understand why they were giving her such a look. She shrugged it off and went to find Itachi. When she reached his house the sight warmed her heart. Itachi was with Sasuke reading story books for him while the younger Uchiha had such an admiration in his eyes for his elder brother. She suddenly remembered Naruto and made a mental note to go check on him.

Itachi noticed her. "Hey Inora. What are you doing here at this hour. Is there something you need?"
"No. I have a mission tomorrow and I will be leaving early. So I just came to tell you all the best on your first day of Anbu and warn you to be careful" Itachi smiled at her words. "Big brother who is this?" Sasuke asked with his doe eyes.

"Hello Sasuke. I am Inora. Your big brother's friend." She said and ruffled his hair. "Thankyou Inora. I will be careful dont worry. Same goes to you." Sasuke was watching the conversation carefully. "Okay Itachi see you after the mission" and with that she left.

She stood there watching her 5 year old brother sleeping peacefully in his apartment all alone. She gave a gentle kiss on his forehead "Sleep tight little brother" and covered him with a blanket. She left through the window and closed it. She came every night to Naruto's apartment to give him a goodnight kiss about which Naruto has no knowledge of.

They were only supposed to collect information and retreat. And the people they were supposed to collect information about should have been low level rougue ninjas.

But Inora's team got stuck with dealing a S rank criminal and his thugs. They were completely surrounded. There were too many of them to engage. Even if she tried to fight them, it would leave the genins in open. "Once I create an opening, run for it immediately" she told her team and gave them all a special kunai of hers and they all nodded in fear.

She threw her kunai at the thugs surrounding them and teleported to knock a few out. Once the path was clear the genin made a run for it. She stood engaging the rest of them who came after her.

"Go after the kids" she heard one of them. She teleported herself to the genin and they all ran. Once they managed to loose their trail, they stopped running and took a break. Inora sensed for any chakra to know if someone was following them. But she couldnt find any. "We will take a short break and go back to the village. This is no more a mere C rank mission and we cant engage those many people. Our top priority now is to return safely." She said to the genins in front of her. They all nodded and took some rest.

"I cant believe there is actually someone who can use the fourth Hokage's jutsu. You would make a great piece for my collection" they heard a voice not so far away. They were immediately on full alert. Inora couldnt believe this. She couldnt even sense his chakra. He was the S rank criminal known for his murders and theft. "You didnt actually think you can get away from me did you?" He laughed like a maniac.
