Under Control

Arabella was in her bedroom getting herself ready for school when her phone buzzed on her bedside table, she walked over to it and a small smile appeared on her face when she saw his contact name.

The two had been talking on the phone every day, mainly about Stefan and his feeding habits but Mr blue eyes liked to check in with the Gilbert girl now and then to make sure she hadn't got herself kidnapped.

Arabella pressed send before shoving her phone and school books into her bag and making her way down the stairs. Elena was already in the kitchen pouring herself a cup off coffee when Arabella entered.

"Morning Lena" Arabella said a little to cheerfully "Have you, uh, heard from Stefan this morning?" She asked curiously. Elena didn't know that Stefan was struggling with his bloodlust. Damon had told her to tell her but Arabella informed him that Elena was a drama queen and she wouldn't be able to handle it.

"No" Elena replied eyeing her sister suspiciously "Have you heard from Damon?". Arabella could sense the judgement rolling off her in waves.

Elena had overheard her twin talking and laughing on the phone with the older Salvatore everyday since the ordeal. She couldn't comprehend how her sister could just forget everything he has done since he arrived into town.

"Yes I have, actually" Arabella replied sending her an illusive smile "Anyway Where's Jer? We're gonna be late"

"I woke him up ages ago" Aunt Jenna informed them, announcing her presence as she entered the kitchen.

Arabella filled her thermos with freshly brewed coffee and grabbed her bag off the chair, flinging it over her shoulder "That little shit" she muttered under her breath before walking over to the door "come on Jeremy, going to school, walking out the door like now" she yelled up the stairs before twisting the door handle and pulling open the door.

"Nope" Arabella slammed the door shut and leant her back up against it which earned confusing looks from both Elena and Jenna "It's just trash, let's go out the back door" she said to Elena as she pulled her through the living room.

Elena pulled her wrist out of Arabella's grasp and shook her head before she opened the door "Elena" Uncle John greeted grinning from ear to ear.

"Uncle John, Hi!" Elena replied her tone laced with shock and her eyebrows raised. She turned to her sister and Aunt who was just stood glaring at the man before stepping aside to let him in.

"Arabella, its so good to see you" John greeted with a sarcastic grin on his face.

"I wish I could say the same to you but then I would just be lieing" She said with her arms folded across her chest as she tapped her foot impatiently. Elena and Jenna tried to stiffle back a laugh. "JEREMY GILBERT, HURRY UP!" She yelled up the stairs before storming out the house.

"Whats up with her?" John asked.

"She doesn't like you" Elena deadpanned. The sound of Arabella beeping her horn incessantly made her jump.

"Uncle John, Hey!" Jeremy greeted as he strolled down the stairs, patting his uncle on the shoulder before he followed Elena out the front door.

"What's he doing here?" Jeremy whispered to Elena as they made their way over to the car.
