It had been a few days since the frat party, since the girls roommate had fell from a second story building with her neck viciously ripped open. Elena had been out for a walk and noticed students laying flowers at a memorial for Megan. She walked back inside to find Caroline rifling through the contents of a box and Arabella sprawled out on her bed, her phone in one hand and a slice of cake in the other.

"Megan's memorial outside is growing by the minute." She said as she closed the door behind her. She glanced across at her sister and frowned. "Since when did you eat cake?"

Arabella frowned. "Since I want to eat cake. I'm emotionally eating." She said as she took abother bite of the sugary delight.

"Ugh, college kids are so dramatic. She was on Campus for, like, one day. She couldn't have made that many friends." Caroline said, ignoring the twins weird interaction.

"Caroline." Elena scolded. "She's dead. You can stop competing with her now."

Caroline frowned as she flopped down onto her bed. "Sorry, I'm in a mood."

Arabella looked up from her cake. "Have you talked to Ty?" She questioned as she took another bite of her delicious treat.

"He's deferring from enrolling and deferring from returning my phone calls, so, I'm deferring from having sex with him ever again." Caroline snapped back as she scrolled through her phone, typing erratically.

"How's the snooping going?" Arabella questioned. She picked up a napkin and wiped her mouth. "Any explanation why our vervain-laced-vampire-slaughtered roommate had a picture of our dad on her phone?" She said.

"No." Caroline shook her head.

"I went by the hospital this morning." Elena said as she handed a folder to Arabella. "Megan's death certificate. It says she died of suicide. No mention of the gaping vampire-bites on her neck. So, whoever signed off on the cause of death was part of the cover-up, just like the Founder's Council back home."

"Dr Wesley Maxfield." Caroline said and Elena nodded her head.

"A.K.A.. Our Applied Microbiology Professor. I switched our classes around, so that we could-"

"Applied - What, what? Uh, Elena, we are supposed to be taking intro to communication. What happened to getting drunk and making bad decisions about boys. What happened to our fun freshman year at college? I am supposed to be a dram major!"

Arabella jumped up from her comfy bed. "Woah, woah, wait?! I never said anything about making bad decisions about boys." She told them.

"You wasn't part of that conversation, Elle." Elena told her before she turned to Caroline. "You're not going to be an Anything major if we get exposed as vampire's!" Her voice rising a few decibels.

"Lower your voice." Arabella warned and the younger twin took a deep breath. "We are still gonna have our fun year, Caroline. But we have to protect ourselves. The way Damon kept his secret in Mystic Falls was because he infiltrated the Founder's Council. So, busy out those alleged acting skills, and let's get on it, okay?!"

Silas wouldn't agree to telling Damon where he had dumped Stefan's body, but hinted that he was well and truly alive and suffering just like he did. Damon had thought about it all night, trying to figure out how he could still be alive and suffering. Buried in an unmarked grave? Drowning in a vervain filled well? Trapped in a locked safe? Stefan wouldn't be strong enough to fight his way out of those things.

And then it finally clicked.

He was at the quarry.

Immediately calling Liz, he jumped in his car and made his way to the place they were supposed to dump Silas' body.
