AS THE HYBRID walked in the hall of the school, he ignored the stares he was receiving from the students, already feeling uncomfortable yet he didn't let it show.

Reid hated being the new kid. He wasn't born in Beacon Hills, he was born in Los Angeles, grew up there and went to school there. Deaton would often come to visit his dad there. So when his dad died, Deaton took Reid with him to Beacon Hills.

He held his schedule in his hand as he made his way towards his locker. His steps haltered when his eyes caught sight of two girls standing and talking while facing each other. One of them had black hair and the other one had strawberry blonde.

He narrowed his eyes at the one with black hair, a frown reaching his lips at the recognition. He has seen her before, she was the daughter of a hunter. "Probably a huntress, herself," he muttered to himself. He had made it his hobby to find out every known hunter out there and their families so he knew them all.

Lydia and Allison were standing right beside across his locker, busy in a conversation as they didn't notice him staring. He sighed, hoping that Allison wouldn't be a problem before he turned to his locker and opened it. He glanced at his schedule, standing a few steps away from them and couldn't help but listen to their conversation.

"Lydia, they're fourteen," Allison laughed at her best friend earning a shrug from her, "some are more mature than others."

"You know, it's okay to be single. Focus on yourself for a little while," Allison began, "work on becoming a better person."

"Allison, I love you. So, if you need to do that thing where we talk about me and pretend like we're not actually talking about you, it's totally fine." Lydia assured, "but I don't want a boyfriend. I want a distraction," her eyes began travelling around the place and it landed on Reid who was now leaning against his locker, having stopped listening a few seconds ago.

He was giving his whole attention to the piece of paper in his grasp, already hating his schedule.

"And I found him," Lydia said to Allison who followed her line of sight. Her eyes slightly widened at the boy, taking in his appearance along with the strawberry blonde who fixated her eyes on his face mostly.

She watched as he clenched his jaw, grasping the schedule tightly in his hand. She glanced down at the silver rings adorning his fingers. Sinful thoughts invaded her mind at that which she quickly shoved away. She moved her eyes back to his face, strands of his dark hair having fallen on his forehead with his head lowered. He had his chain which had a weird symbol hanging around his neck.

Lydia bit lower lip and whispered to Allison, "one word; hot."

As if sensing their burning gazes on him, Reid looked up, instantly catching them shamelessly staring at him.

Lydia flashed him a smile before she nudged Allison, wordlessly telling her to follow her actions as she walked towards him. Reid composed himself, folding the schedule carefully while the two girls stopped in front of him.

"Hi, this is Allison. I'm Lydia," she held her hand forward for him to shake, "you must be new. What's your name?"

Amused, he extended his own hand and held hers, shaking it slightly, "Reid."

"We weren't staring at you—" Allison was quick to jump to an explanation, feeling like they needed it, "it's just— we've never seen you before thus... the staring." She let out an awkward chuckle while Lydia bit her lip, internally shaking her head at her best friend.

"So you were staring, " Reid spoke earning a flushed face from the Argent girl. "It doesn't matter. I get it."

"What's your first class?" Lydia asked in an attempt to change the topic.

"English Literature," he replied, instantly catching the way Lydia's eyes lit up, "really? Me too."

"Great, you could show me where I'm supposed to go then."

"Of course. Why don't we go right now?" Lydia smiled, earning a slight nudge from Allison who coughed and whispered a small, ‘too early’ under her breath. Both Reid and Lydia heard it but decided to ignore it.

"Sure, okay," he shrugged, "let's go."

"Bye Allison," Lydia smiled at her best friend who was also smiling at her at the speed the job was done. "I'll see you later." And then the two were off.
