REID AND ISAAC FOUND themselves in the principal office. The man was staring at them intently after Mr Harris just told him what happened.

Reid was tapping his fingers softly on the arms of the chair while Isaac kept bouncing his legs. He'd do that when he'd get nervous but as least he wasn't alone.

"So let me get this straight," the principal began, "you two beat Ethan up. Why exactly?"

"Look, we didn't do shit, okay?" Reid grew impatient, "his brother came and beat him up then put the blame on us because they're both sick. You'd know if you had taken the liberty to put some god damn cameras in the freakin’ hallways."

The principal stared at Reid, taken aback by his tone and language. The room went silent for a while as Isaac glanced at him whose was now gripping the arms of the chair tightly. He hated that the twins were getting to him, he hated that they had somehow won this one fight.

Finally, the principal broke the silence by clearing his throat, "first of all, watch that language. I'm the principal, not your friend. And secondly, why would Ethan lie about something like that? and why would Aiden beat him up? That doesn't make sense, Mr Gray. But you know what does make sense?"

"What?"

"You being here—" He replied, pausing, "— given your past."

"What do you mean?" Isaac questioned, frowning resulting in a sigh from the principal, "Reid, here has quite the reputation."

Isaac turned to Reid questioningly. The hybrid just shrugged in response and they both watched as The principal pulled out a file from a drawer and placed them in front of him. "It says here that you have the tendency to skip school, use bad language and... oh would you look at that? Pick fights with other students. The only reason you're here is because your results are weirdly excellent."

"What are you trying to say?" Reid asked, leaning back in his seat.

"Nothing," the older man responded, "I'm just saying that you don't have to deny having hit Ethan because we both know that you did it with Isaac's help this time."

"Believe whatever you want." Reid sighed, "I'm not even gonna try to convince you otherwise anymore. So what's it gonna be? Detention? Suspension?"

"Detention," the principal was quick to say, "no way I'm letting a bright student such as yourself go. I believe I can set you right with the... correct methods. You too, Mr Lahey. So, lunchtime detention, both of you." He then pointed towards the door, "let's hope this incident doesn't repeat, yes?"

"Of course," Reid bit his lip, offering the man a fake smile as Isaac stood up as well.

The two then walked out of his office. Isaac broke the silence between them as they walked to their lockers, "Why'd you come out? I thought you said you don't care if they kill me."

"I changed my mind," Reid muttered making Isaac smile while they finally reached their lockers. Scott was standing and waiting for them. "Oh hey, what happened?" 

"Lunchtime detention."

"Don't let it bother you guys, okay?" Scott spoke, "It's just lunchtime detention. If all they want right now is to piss you off, then don't give in. They're just trying to get to you."

"I'm going to kill them," Reid stated, ignoring every word Scott said while the other werewolf smiled, glad that he was on his side.

"And it's not just me," Isaac said, nodding his head to a direction making both Reid and Scott look.

Aiden was talking to Lydia who was yet to notice the eyes on her. For some reason, Reid felt his blood boil as he listened to their conversation.

"What about tonight?" Aiden asked the strawberry blonde who shook his head, "nope. Studying."

"I could help you," Aiden suggested earning a look from Lydia, "do you have an IQ higher than one-seventy?"

"Okay, you could help me," Aiden smirked, "tonight, then?"

"Now they're getting to you," Isaac said to Scott before looking at Reid who was literally glaring at Aiden, "and you too... again."

"I gotta go do something real quick," Reid muttered to the two before making his way towards Lydia whose face lit up upon seeing him, "Reid, hi."

"Hey," Reid smiled at the strawberry blonde, the confused looks that Isaac and Scott were sharing behind him going unnoticed. He then turned to Aiden, "I think you should go check on your brother. Heard he got beaten up today."

"Really?" Lydia asked, unaware of what happened or that these were supposedly the bad guys, "is he okay?"

"Yeah, he is." Aiden clenched his jaw at Reid who mirrored his action, "why don't you go fuck off now? I mean, go see if he's okay and all."

"I will," Aiden glanced at Lydia, "bye, I'll, uh, see you around." With that, he was off.

"So, a hundred and seventy, huh?" He questioned resulting in Lydia raising her brows, "has nobody ever told you that eavesdropping is not nice?"

"Not really," he muttered earning a chuckle from her, "I figured as much. You didn't have to be so rude to Aiden, though."

"Yeah, I did," he rolled his eyes at her, "you don't wanna get involved with him."

"Okay and why not?" She asked, frowning, "he seems nice."

"Well, he's not."

"How do you know that?" Lydia questioned, tilting her head to the side, "you barely know him."

"As do you."

"Look, he's harmless, okay?" Lydia sighed, not understanding his point, "he's not a crazy werewolf who's gonna go around and kill people like y—" she immediately cut herself off upon realising what she was about to say.

"Like me?" Reid scoffed, ignoring the regret filled look on her face. She didn't mean to say that, it just slipped. She was there when Reid admitted to killing people. Those words just came into her mind.

"Well, news flash— he actually is a werewolf. An alpha, actually. Oh, and he and his friends have tried to kill your friends so excuse me if I did not want you to get involved with him."

"What?" She breathed out in surprise at the newfound information.

"Yeah but whatever," Reid muttered, "I have detention to get to." With that, he walked away.
