TELLING LYDIA WAS not something Reid had considered but he knew that eventually, he had to tell her everything since she was his mate, after all.

As much as he didn't want to admit it, the strawberry blonde had a point. He would've made her tell him everything too if the roles were reversed. So, he understood where she was coming from. He knew that she didn't feel safe and he got that. She had every right to.

If she was expected to be with him for her entire life, she needed to know what she was getting herself into.

As he stood on the balcony, completely unaware of what was currently going down in the Beacon Hills hospital, he brought the cigarette near his lips. He was completely addicted to smoking.

It was a way for him to feel less stressed. His mind flashed back to what happened at school earlier today, how Lydia was straped to a chair with a wire around her neck. He wondered what would've happened had she not screamed.

She was a banshee. He figured that out once he heard her scream. He understood why she was mated to him, one powerful supernatural being to another. Everything began clicking in place. How he could get past the mountain ash and all. Deep down, he knew that Lydia wasn't just another ordinary human being.

Despite having known her for a short amount of time, he was certain that losing her wasn't something he wanted to feel.

Just as he was about to take another drag of the cigarette, his phone vibrated in his pockets. Taking it out, he read the name before answering, "what's up?"

"Reid? Oh, thank god!" Stiles's voice was filled with panic and a little ounce of fear. Reid could tell that he was in trouble. "We need your help like right now- we're at the hospital, please come quick. The Alphas are here and they want Ms Blake but she's the only one who knows where my dad is and can save Cora who, by the way, is in a very bad state. We kind of really need your help so please, for the love of god, get your ass here."

"Okay, okay- I'm on my way." Reid muttered, knowing he had to go even though he didn't want to. After hanging up, he went back to his room and saw the strawberry blonde staring at the ceiling.

"Lydia?"

"Hmm?" She glanced at him, "what happened?"

"I've got to go," he muttered, "something came up with the guys. They're at the hospital and they need my help, apparently."

"Okay," was all what she said, "I'll be right here when you get back."

"Are you sure?" he sounded hesitant, "I mean, don't you want me to drop you home or something?"

"No-" she cleared her throat, "- I want to sleep with you. Not as in sex but as in..." She trailed off and Reid nodded, having picked up on what she was trying to say. He couldn't stop a the small smile that spreaded across his face, "I'll be back soon."

"I'll be right here when you do." She smiled back which however, turned into a look of confusion when she saw him turning to return to the balcony, "I thought you were leaving?"

"I am-" he turned to glance at her, "oh, I'm gonna jump from the balcony."

"Why not use the door?"

He shrugged, a sheepish smile on his lips, "it's more fun."

"Don't get yourself killed," was all she said before he finally left, heading straight to the hospital.

It was only once he was there that he noticed how bad the weather was with strong winds and slightly rainfall.

He took a deep breath and walked in the hospital, trying to find his friends and the alphas. Once he heard voices, he was quick to rush towards the direction they were coming from.

He pushed the door open, revealing the familiar faces. "Help's here-" Reid cut himself off when his eyes fell on Chris. He shot Stiles an offended look, "- okay, well, your second choice of help is here."

"We didn't call him," Stiles jumped to his defence, "he just... came. You, on the other hand, I called. See?"

"Now's really not the time for your childishness," Chris muttered with a groan, "what's the plan?"

"I've got an idea." Allison spoke up making everyone look at her expectantly as they awaited for her to share her idea with the rest of thenfro
