REID FOUND HIMSELF in the forest, looking for Boyd and Cora along with Derek and Scott.

The three had decided to split up in an attempt to find them faster but so far, neither of them were lucky.

"Guys, I lost them." Scott informed the two other werewolves on the phone. "They were right in front of me—" he was taking deep breaths as he spoke, "— but I lost them."

"What do you mean, you lost them?" Derek asked, sounding to be on edge, "that wasn't exactly the plan."

"I kind of had to and I know, which is why I think that we should stick together. Trust me— he's too strong, too fast, and way too angry for one person to handle. We've got to do this together," Scott spoke, "Reid, you there?"

"Listening."

"Reid can handle it, what's on your end?"

"I'm looking for him," The hybrid replied, "but he's like huge now. I'm not gonna be able to fight him without injuring him."

"All right then, don't do anything," Derek's words made him refrain himself from rolling his eyes, "look, I'm at the trails by the entrance to the preserve. Can you meet me here?"

"Yeah," Scott replied, "I'm on my way."

"Be there in a while," Reid spoke, his eyes narrowing on a rather large figure who was standing a few feet away from him as he seemed to be looking for something, "I see Boyd."

"What's he doing?" Scott questioned as he began to walk around in an attempt to find Reid, "where are you?"

"Reid, do not engage." Derek's tone was commanding which made him want to do it even more but he didn't, "yeah, yeah, whatever. Don't worry, I'll meet you there. Just gotta do something real quick."

"Fine," Derek huffed and disconnected the call as did Scott and Reid. He was now giving his attention to Boyd who began walking in a particular direction. Reid followed him and watched as he reached some sort of small house. He growled and ripped it off the ground, throwing it away which revealed two children; a boy and a girl holding on to each other as they cried in fear.

Reid rushed towards Boyd who growled at them, "woah, hey big guy." Boyd turned to him, his eyes holding nothing but anger. He responded with a loud growl. "Fight with someone who can fight back, yeah?"

Boyd lunged at him, barring his teeth out but Reid was quick to act as he slid under the large werewolf and kicked him from behind. As Boyd fell on the ground, Reid went towards the two kids and grabbed their hands before werewolf–speeding away while the two kids clutched on to him tightly when he finally stopped and put them down.

"Are you like, superman or something?" The boy questioned, his chest heaving up and down as he tried to control his breathing.

"No—" Reid was interrupted by the girl, "okay, well what about the Flash?"

"All right, stop," he shot them a look, knowing that they were scared after what just happened as he tried to drift their minds off things, "if you wanna compare, I'm more of a marvel fan, okay?"

"Okay," they muttered with nods while the girl spoke, "marvel sucks though."

"Say that again and see what happens," Reid muttered, "no wonder your parents left you in a forest."

"They didn't leave us in a forest," the girl retorted, "we just love coming here to play."

"I'm gonna assume they did," the hybrid shrugged before looking down at them, "which one of you two fuckers are gonna tell me where you live?"

"This way," the girl replied, pointing in a direction, "our house's not far from here."

"Fine," he bent down, motioning for the girl to get on his back which she did, holding to his neck while wrapping her legs around him from behind to hold herself. Then he lifted the boy who wrapped his arms around him from infront.

"Kids," he muttered before taking off in the direction where the girl told him. He was grateful when neither of them shouted or anything because they were so close to his ears and with his enhanced hearing, he was sure he'd lose his sense of hearing. Once he caught the house in sight, he finally slowed down and placed them kids back on the ground.

The girl had to hold on to him since she was feeling dizzy after the rather fast ride. "So..." She began, raising her small eyebrows at the hybrid, "what are you?"

"Werewolf," he responded, "I trust you're not gonna say anything to anyone, yeah?"

"Of course," they both nodded, "no one would believe us anyway."

"Good," he glanced at them, "now go home."

"Bye," the girl smiled as she grabbed her brother's hand and the two waved at him before walking away. Reid stood there and made sure they got home before walking away, to meet Derek and Scott.
