REID WALKED TOWARDS Scott and Stiles who were talking to Ethan and Aiden just as Aiden spoke, "you need a pack. We need an Alpha."

"Yeah, absolutely not!" Stiles scoffed, shaking his head, "that's hilarious, though."

"You came to us for help-" Aiden said, glancing at Reid, "we helped."

"You beat his face into a blood pulp!" Stiles exclaimed incredulously, "that's not helping- in my opinion, that's actually counter-productive."

"Why would I say yes?" Scott asked to which Aiden replied, "we'd add strength. We'd make you more powerful. There's no reason to say no."

Isaac, who had also joined them answered, "I can think of one- Like, the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now."

Aiden growled, his eyes blue and his teeth out as he stared at Isaac, "you want to try?"

Isaac stepped forward only to be stopped by Reid, "let's not be stupid." Isaac sighed but backed off reluctantly, still glaring at Aiden.

"Sorry, but they don't trust you," Scott said, "and neither do I."

"What about you?" Ethan looked at Reid breathed out a small chuckle at his suggestion. "No."

"Why not?" This time, it was Aiden who asked with furrowed brows, "you're an alpha, you need a pack."

"Yeah, no," he muttered, shaking his head, "I'm not really a pack guy."

"We'll make you become more powerful," Aiden urged, a desperated look on his face. "Don't you want that? having a pack? You can't seriousnly consider remaining pack-less for the rest of your life? I mean, how long until some other Alpha considers you as a threat and try-"

"- They can try," Reid interrupted, his eyes falling on Lydia who was standing near the entrance, looking at him. "I'll see you guys in class," he excused himself and walked towards her.

Lydia straightened herself and smiled once he stopped in front of her. "Did you know that today's mischief day? Which also happens to be coach's birthday?"

"Yeah," he draped an arm around her shoulder as they entered through the door, "Stiles called me at around midnight to come at school so we can fuck around."

"And what did you do?" Before Reid could answer Lydia's question, a bottle of water came flying in her direction. He was quick to catch it before it could hit her, "what the fuck?"

"Shit, I'm sorry," a guy around fourteen who was a foot away from them, his eyes widening, "I... I didn't mean to-"

"You didn't mean to throw his bottle at her face?" Reid cut him off while he just stood there, gulping. "No, no... I- I thought she'd catch it."

He scoffed before throwing the bottle at him, hitting him in the face- not hard enough to injure him but enough to cause a bit of pain. The boy let out a small scream but quickly recovered so as not to embarass himself in the hallway. "What is wrong with you?"

"I thought you'd catch it," Reid mimicked with a roll of his eyes before he grabbed Lydia's hand, dragging her to their first class of the day.

"We did not get to talk last night," Lydia spoke up as they enter the class. Reid hummed in response, "yeah, I had things to do."

Once they sat down, the strawberry blonde turned in her seat to look at him, "does it hurt?"

"Does what hurt?"

"When you-" she lowered her voice, "shift."

"Just a little," he rested his elbows on the desk, giving her his whole attention, "I'm used to it."

"So your bones snap-" she was cut off when the coach let out a scream. Turning to face the front again, the entire class watched as he walked out of his office, looking frustrated.

"Mischief Night! Devil's Night! I don't care what you call it-" Coach began talking, irritation clear on his face, "you little punks are evil!"

The class started laughing while Lydia took out her phone and began doing her own things, she couldn't look less interested. Reid leaned back in his seat as he stared at the coach who continued speaking, "you think it's funny, every Halloween my house gets egged! A man's house is supposed to be his castle! Mine's a frickin' omelette!"

He turned to look at his desk where there was a small wrapped box. Coach scoffed in exaggeration as he picked it up and looked at his students, "oh, this? We're gonna do this again? I don't think so!" With that, he dropped it on the ground and stepped on it.

He frowned when he heard something break. Bending down, he picked it what was left of the mug to find that '#1 coach' was written on it with a picture of his face. Grabbing the envelope, he read, "Happy birthday, love Greenberg."

Reid's attention flickered from coach to Lydia who kept swinging her hand in the air every now and then. He frowned at the action before tapping on her shoulder making her turn to look at him, "what?"

"What are you doing?" He asked with his brows furrowed.

"There's a fly," she responded which made his frown deepen since there was no fly but he didn't think much into it.
