REID DID NOT get to pick Lydia up to go to the party. He was taking too long so the strawberry blonde decided to go on her own with disappointment flooding through her.

He didn't show up until about thirty minutes after she reached. When he entered the place, he saw a lot of people dancing in the dark with neon clothes paints on their bodies being the only source of light.

He had a black shirt on with his jeans, he was dressed up as simple and plain as ever. He didn't go there to have fun, he just wanted to see Lydia and he did.

He saw her leaning against the wall as she watched people around her having fun with a frown on her face. Her hair was tied into a ponytail and she had a plain dress on. Taking a deep breath, he made his way towards her.

The strawberry blonde stared at him with evident disappointment coating her features. Reid gave her an apologetic look for the second time that day, "I'm sorry."

"Stop."

"What?" He shot her a confused stare at her words, "what do you mean, 'stop'?"

"I mean, stop apologising." She sighed, shaking her head, "I don't want to hear it. I waited for you for over an hour. You promised you'd be there. But I had to come here on my own because I didn't want to feel like I have dressed up for nothing."

Reid let out an exhausted sigh at her words. She couldn't see the amount of tiredness in the grey eyes that were looking back at her. "I said that I'm sor- apparently you don't wanna hear it."

"Well, I'm sorry that your sorry is not going to change anything." She said, "something is clearly going on and you're not talking about it. It's kind of frustrating that I talk to you about things and you don't. Look, I don't want to be that person and force you to talk to me- I was hoping that whatever you have going on would not affect our relationship, you know? Like I could forget about it and stuff but..." She trailed off, "I don't know if I can continue to pretend like there's nothing up with you. You leave the second you get some phone call and you can't really blame me for being paranoid about this. Anyone would."

"Okay," he simply muttered, unable to register her words entirely. "Okay, I'll tell you... whatever you wanna know. Just—" he was cut off with a sharp pain in his stomach. Unfortunately, Lydia was unable to see his discomfort as he continued to talk, "— later. I— do you want something to drink?"

She narrowed her eyes at him in confusion, "what? Why are you being weird?"

"I'm not being weird," he muttered with a small roll of his eyes, "I'll go grab us some drinks."

"Okay," was all what she said before he turned to walk away. She stared at his disappearing figure with furrowed brows, knowing that there was something not right with him.

When Reid returned to the spot where Lydia was with the drinks, she was no longer there. He cursed under his breath and began searching for her everywhere.

His steps halted when he caught a glimpse of her on the balcony. She looked as if she was about to pass out and she did. Reid watched with furrowed brows when her body hit the cold ground. "Shit," he muttered and found himself rushing outside.

Apparently, he was not the only one who found her. Danny and Aiden also reached the place at the same time as him.

"Lydia?" Danny questioned, going on his knees to reach her level while Reid bent down just as she started to regain consciousness, "hey, what happened?"

"I—" she began but the words got held up in her throat. Reid placed a hand on her skin only to feel how cold it was, "fuck, you're freezing."

"What happened?" Aiden asked, his brows furrowing in concern. Danny touched her forehead, "I don't know, but she's practically hypothermic."

"We gotta get her inside," Reid mumbled, lifting her off the ground effortlessly. With her in his arms, Danny led him towards where there was a heating vent and he placed her near it on the ground as he sat down as well, keeping her close to him.

Lydia was shivering when Reid wrapped his arms around her from behind and pressed his body to hers in hopes to keep her warmer. "Shit." He turned to glance at Danny and Aiden who were just standing there, "go find a blanket."

The two nodded and were quick to leave, going to do as they were told. Lydia grabbed his own arms that were around her tightly, her eyes widening as she spoke, "they came out of the dark."
