Muji POV

"Alright everyone, other than the ogres forest, this is our first time being in a monsters territory. We don't know anything about these creatures except their appearance and a few of their traits. Noting is set in stone, so be careful."

"Yes Party leader!"

As we walked throughout the forest, I noticed this place was a lot different than the ogre's forest. While the trees and bushes there were regularly colored green, the trees here had red leaves.

And they were incredibly tall.

I couldn't even see the sky.

The trees were thin compared to other trees I had seen, and the flowers on the ground were also red and prickly.

"I guess all this red is why they call it the blood moon. Why the moon part if you can't see the moon though?"

"Muji."

I turned around and seen Mari.

"Yeah?"

"Umm, do you sense anything?"

I shook my head.

"If I did I would've told you guys."

Mari sighed.

"My bad, it's just, I'm a bit nervous. Mateo is a stickler and he's hard to talk too, Lapis is always sleep, and Shanna seems distant."

I nodded.

"Yeah but, what about Iris?"

"Iris is nice and all but she's not good at consoling people."

I remembered the time when three of us were training.

"Don't be afraid Mari! Even if you're weak, you'll be stronger in the future."

I laughed a bit.

"Don't sweat it, let's just take things easy. Everything will be alright as long as everyone plays their part."

Mari nodded as we continued to move.

After walking for about two hours we decided to take a break. However during those two hours, a problem had appeared.

"Damn it's freezing out here."

It was pretty cold.

Lapis was asleep like always, and the five of us were sitting together taking a break.

"Hey Muji, can't we set up camp fire?"

I shook my head.

"Unless you want to be ambushed by a bunch of wolves."

"No thank you."

I began to hear a loud sound, I couldn't tell what it was though.

"Do you guys hear that?"

Everyone looked at me.

"What are you talking about? There is no such noise."

I didn't have time to bicker with Mateo.

"I heard something so we're going to move. Let's go."

Everyone began to get up as I walked over Lapis and kicked him, causing him to get up.

"What?"

He turned his head and looked in the direction of the noise I heard.

"Oh, there's enemies."

Mari visibly became shaken up as I clicked my tongue.

"How long till they get here Lapis?"

He hummed.
