Blood Moon Forest: Part 7

Adjest POV

I was putting on a big front, but in reality I used my full power and only barely managed to cut the werewolf's arm off.

I wasn't confident that we could win, especially with Muji out for the count.

"But..."

I looked to Mya, something weird was going on with her. Her mana had increased and she had a good bit of aura. It reminded me of when Muji gained that crazy power up, but hers felt way less ominous and suffocating.

Plus with our weapons having poison thanks to Muji, it wasn't impossible.

"We can do this. Follow my lead Mya!"

"Ok!"

I rushed in at the werewolf, swinging my blade. An ice slash flew at it, causing it to dodge it. I got in close range and went for a slash on its chest, but it just stepped back out of my range.

It went for a kick but I managed to deflect it with my sword. Mya came in right behind me, attempting to stab it's midsection. The werewolf flipped, dodging the thrust from Mya's spear and landed behind her.

The werwolf slashed Mya's back with its sharp claws, causing her to let out a small scream. She quickly got herself together and turned around, kicking the werewolf in the side.

I rushed in taking in a deep breath.

"Ice Dragons Tranquil Rage."

A dragon made of ice formed next to me as I swung my sword, sending it at the werewolf. The werewolf quickly jumped out of the way, but Mya caught up to it and swung her spear again.

Due to just dodging my attack, he was vulnerable, and Mya managed to land a strike. She gave it a very small wound, but that's all she needed in order to activate Muji's poison.

The wolf fell to his knees, coughing up a bit of blood.

"Damnit...what did you human?!"

Mya jumped back to me, smiling a bit.

"Muji's poison is working! We just need to hold on until it dies off."

I nodded.

"Yes, we should stay on the defensive."

"Filthy human worms!! I may die soon but I will take all three of you with me!!"

The werewolf rushed at us again, attacking me out of the two of us. I clashed attacks with it, swinging my blade to match it. It pushed me back and went for another attack, but Mya pulled me back and helped me evade it.

The werewolf went to attack Mya next, but I blocked it before it reached her. Mya thrusted her spear at the werewolf, hitting it in the shoulder.

The werewolf spit some blood out at us, it hitting me in the face. With my vision blocked, I couldn't see what was going on, but I heard an impact sound and hear a crash a bit in the distance.

"Crap- Mya what happened?!"

"Duck!!"

I quickly dropped to the ground like Mya said, feeling a force of wind blow above me. I stabbed the ground and charged my mana into it, ice spikes shooting up in a small circle around me.

I quickly wiped the blood off my face to see the werwolf charging straight at me. I was unable to react in time, but Mya had kicked it when it was about to hit me, causing it to stumble back.

"Mya shouldn't have been able to land that..."

It was getting weaker due to Muji's poison.

Mya then went to stab it with her spear, but it caught the spear and broke it before kneeing Mya in the stomach. I rushed over and ran my blade through its chest, causing it to let out a roar of pain and spit up more blood.

It kicked Mya away, sending her into a tree before turning to me.

It then growled and grabbed my arm before lifting me up and slamming me on the ground, I felt something in my arm crack.

I grabbed my sword with my other arm, charging all my mana into it. I threw my sword at the werwolf, but he dodged it with a tilt of his head.

"Was that your last feeble attempt at trying to preserve your life?"

I smirked.

"No, it was a good pass."

Mya caught the sword and struck the werewolf from behind. The werewolf collapsed, hitting the ground with a thud.

"Damn you...the alpha will..."

The werewolf spit up more blood and shut its eyes, slowly dying. I let out a sigh as Mya walked over, holding her side. She had intense blood leaking from her back, and she got hit more than me.

I knew she was in pain.

"You alright Lady Adjest?"

I nodded.

"I can't feel my right arm, but I'm fine for the most part. We managed to pull through thanks to Muji's poison."

Mya let out a Hmph.

"I also weakened it with my debuff spell!"

"Very good Mya. We should probably hurry and get to Iris..."

I stood up and walked over to Muji with Mya, the both of us working together to pick him up. We walked back to the group, seeing everyone was alive but greatly injured.

Even the mages and healers.

The only person who wasn't injured was Ms Shinmon, but that was to be expected from the party leader.

"Thank goodness...everyone's...ok..."

Mya's eyes dulled down to their original brown color before she collapsed, Muji falling with her due to me not being able to hold him up with one arm.

"You all survived, that's great."

I looked up to see Ms Shinmon standing over us.

"Iris and Lacas will come here and heal everyone up in a second. Just sit still for now."

I nodded sitting on the ground next to Muji and Mya.

"We're alive..."

I let out a sigh.

"Thank god."
