Lapis POV
"I-Is it that..."
I could tell, Adjest was fearing that Muji was tapped into that dark power. However the sound waves weren't telling me to run, so I could tell that wasn't the case.
"No. It isn't what you're thinking. Muji is probably just seriously upset."
Adjest let out a sigh of relief.
"So what do we do?"
"Just let them brawl for a bit. We'll break it up once things settle down a bit."
I had never seen Muji fight anything other than a monster. I was giving this fight all of my attention, in case the day I would have to fight Muji would come.
I wouldn't be able to rely on the sound waves.
"Chris is about to throw a kick."
Chris threw a kick as Muji threw a hook at his leg, surprising me a bit. The punch landed, stopping Chris's leg, as well as dealing damage. Muji then threw an elbow, dropping Chris to the ground.
"Get up."
Chris slowly stood up, laughing as blood leaked from his nose.
"Two blows and I've already got a bloody nose. You really-
Muji kicked Chris in the throat, but didn't use enough force to knock him down. He dashed over and grabbed his face and slammed his head into the ground.
"This is a battle, stop talking to me."
Chris began laughing before he spit some blood out in Muji's face. While his vision was blinded, Chris jumped off the ground and kicked Muji in the stomach.
He went for another kick but Muji ducked under it and grabbed his leg before throwing him into a tree.
It looked like even whilst blinded Muji couldn't be taken care of easily. Chris laughed after getting up from hitting the tree, Muji wiped his face and got rid of the blood.
"The hell is so funny?"
Chris hugged himself.
The sound waves were telling me many things about him right now.
He was happy, angry, sad, envious and many other things right now.
And for some reason he was feeling ecstatic.
"This feeling! I haven't felt it in so~ long! That girl was a bit tough but she wasn't this good!"
Chris rushed back in and went for an attack, Muji watching his moves carefully. Chris threw a kick as Muji went to block it, but Chris jumped off his one foot and spun mid air and went for an overhead kick.
That move surprised even me, and I seen it coming. Muji was still able to react fast enough, stepping to the side to avoid the attack.
Muji went for a punch but Chris grabbed his arm and pulled him into a headbutt. Whilst he was still stunned, Chris went for a drop kick, landing it on his stomach.
Muji stumbled back before quickly regaining himself, dodging an attack from Chris upon doing so.
"I know how you beat Mya now. This unpredictable fighting style of yours, it's a bit tricky."
Muji cracked his neck.
"But this is over."
Chris began to laugh.
"And you said I talk too much!"
Chris rushed in once more I watched the sound waves.
"He wouldn't..."
Chris began to use his aura, ready to attack. Faster than I could register the sound wave, something happened.
It took me completely by surprise.
"What the-
"Now now kiddos, just because I let you battle a bit, it doesn't mean you can just go and use aura."
Muji turned around.
"Like I said, this is over. Chris the next time you start something with me, I'll make sure it's the last time you ever fight anyone."
Muji began to walk off as Adjest and I just looked at Ms Shinmon, who let him walk off.
"Well we better start running! I'm sure that Jax sensed that aura Chris used and is on the way."
Ms Shinmon vanished as the three of us stood there. I rushed over and knocked out Chris before I began to walk off, Adjest going her own way as well.
Timeskip
"So! The people who didn't get caught are Myself, Lapis, Muji, and Adjest! Congratulations you three!"
Adjest and Muji thanked Ms Shinmon as I yawned.
It wasn't hard to not get caught, this game was easy.
"With that being said, you three follow me up to my room. The rest of you can do whatever, just be ready for Mana practice tomorrow!"
The three of us followed Ms Shinmon as everyone else began to do what they wanted. When we arrived at her room, she told us to stand at the entrance.
After waiting for a bit, she walked back out with a small pouch in her hand.
"Here ya go."
She handed all of us a coin.
This didn't seem like an ordinary coin, as it wasn't bronze, silver, or gold. It definitely wasn't platinum so I had no idea what this thing was.
"What is this Ms Shimon?"
Muji must've been confused as well.
"I'm not telling! You'll have to figure it out on your own. See ya kiddos."
She shut the door on us as we just stood there confused.
"I'm going to sleep."
I turned around and began heading back to my room, leaving Adjest and Muji there. Upon getting to my room I headed straight to my bed and collapsed.
Muji POV
Ms Shimon given us some strange coin, I didn't know what it was but I decided to keep it in my room.
I pulled out some paper and a pen as I began to write letters to my siblings.
"I'll be back at home soon. Love, Muji."
