Mya POV

I really hate Muji.

"Come on Mya! Just a few more steps!"

I really really, hate Muji.

"I-I can't go anymore! I-I'm gonna die!"

"No you won't! Stop whining and move!"

Muji and I were currently exercising.

We had been doing so for about two months now, and every single day had been hell. It started out simple and got more and more complex.

Even now, were wearing weight enhanced clothing to hike a mountain. Muji's siblings and grandpa were already at the peak eating sandwiches and drinking tea.

"I-I want sandwiches and tea too!!"

Here I was scaling a mountain like some crazy person. The worse part about it was definitely...

"Come on Mya!"

The fact that this jerk made me want to complete the training.

"I did it!!"

"Good job Mya!"

I stood tall with a smile.

"Yeah!! I rock!! Come on Muji, let's go eat sandwiches now!"

Muji raised an eyebrow.

"What? We still have to go up that mountain right there."

I blinked twice.

"They're not right here?"

"No they're up there."

Yeah, it's official.

I despise Muji.

Timeskip

"It's been almost a year since you two started working out, you've came a long way."

Me and Muji currently stood in front of grandpa. I had on a small shirt and some pants while Muji had the same minus a shirt.

Our bodies were toned a lot, I never would've made it this far without Muji constantly whining to me about keeping up with my exercise.

It got so bad that his brother Daiki even joined us sometimes.

"Now that you have stable bodies, it's time to work on your mana control. Mana control is the main work behind every great spell or magic that anyone performs."

Grandpa held his hand out as it began to glow red orangish.

"You see, my affinity is Magma. If I didn't have control over it, it could cause harm to myself and my surroundings. So we'll start out slow with just accessing your mana."

Muji cleared his throat.

"Actually sir, a few months back I was able to do this."

Muji's body began to glow purple as he held his hand out, a small purple liquid dripping from his finger and hitting the ground.

I was shocked.

"M-Muji!! How come you didn't tell me?! How did you do that?! Tell me now!!"

Muji laughed as I grabbed him and began to shake him around. Muji was super gifted, I
even considered him a prodigy of sorts.

"Very good Muji, but what you're doing is exerting the mana you have and just forcing it out. In order to use it, you have to hone the mana and let it out accordingly. I'll teach you both how to do it once Mya has a good feel on mana."

I pouted a bit.

"So I'm holding us back."

"You'll grasp it in no time Mya, we both had a 2 in our mana level after all."

Muji was right, our mana was pretty much equal.

"Right."

Muji POV

Me and Mya had begun to learn Mana control from Mr Nate. I thought it would be easy seeing as how I managed to access my mana easily, but it was far from easy.

It required lots of concentration and focus, but that's apparently due to us being beginners at Mana manipulation.

Every other week, Mr Nate would give us time to recover from using our mana the entire week before.

During that time, Mya would learn all about the spells of a Light supporter and I would focus on learning aura from Mr Craig.

Much like Mana, using aura was incredibly hard. Instead of taking a mental strain on me it was a physical type of thing, and whenever I wasn't working on my mana I was working on my aura.

Time flew by, seasons passed, birthdays and holidays came and went.

My siblings grew older, and watching them grew with my own two eyes was the best thing I had ever witnessed.

During this long time, on top of training my aura and mana I had to learn my own poison spells. I learnt that I had a resistance to all poisons, so I begin to use them on myself to test the certain effects.

After memorizing the poison effects I would make it into a spell. Poison could be any state of matter, which was beneficial to me because I could use it in many different ways.

Another thing that happened during this time was combat practice. I became an assassin like planned, and my speed had naturally became better has time went on.

I used my stealth by practicing hide and go seek with my siblings, Mya, Moira, and Mr Nate. However I would hide in broad daylight to make sure I was truly hidden.

That way in dark places I truly couldn't be detected.

My weapon of choice was twin daggers, and using Mr Craig as a sparring partner, me and Mya enhanced our combat abilities.

Mya used a spear for self defense, just in case she was in such a situation.

Now at sixteen years old like planned, Mya and I planned to go out to the hunter exam soon.

Karin was now thirteen and had awakened. To my surprise, she chose the role of a guardian. When I asked why, she said because she always wanted to protect her family.

I'm so proud of her.

Sadly she was "gifted" with talent like me, but I believed she could definitely become powerful.

Daiki was eleven and was awakening next year. Due to constantly exercising with Mya and I, he was quite big for someone his age. He told me he wanted to go to law enforcement when he got older because "bad people should go to jail".

A fine young man he's growing up to be.

Lastly the twins were now nine years old. Unlike me and Karin when we were their age, they are still very much childish. That made me incredibly happy, as they should enjoy their childhood.

Kaia says she's going to be queen someday while Kyle is apparently going to be the ruler of the world. Kids are funny.

There was a week until me and Mya headed out to "Boken" the place where the hunter exam was held and where we were required to stay for an entire year.

My life had been fun for a few years, but I could quickly tell things were about to change.
