Muji POV
"Keep your end up with your own aura. If you drop the stick, you and your partner go without dinner."
"Yes mam!!"
About two and a half months had passed since Prism Swamp. Currently, everyone was carrying a tree, not a stick, but a tree, and using our aura to carry one end of it.
We were put into groups of two, with Ms Shinmon being Lapis's partner since he was asleep. Our goal was to hold them as long as we could and to not drop them until Ms Shinmon said we could.
My partner was Xander, pretty convenient but also not really. Each trainee was given their partner based on their ratio, and Ms Shinmon judged that I was strong enough to be paired with Xander.
Which wasn't the part that was making me mad. In truth it was the fact that he was too tall, and he tended to lift his end too high, making our tree slanted.
"Xander-
"My bad."
I looked around at everyone, seeing their groups. Mya was paired with Iris, letting me know Ms Shinmon felt their aura was relatively even.
"Mya's been growing pretty fast too..."
A small smile formed on my face.
"Good for her."
"Alright you can drop em. Be careful though, we don't want someone's foot getting crushed."
Everyone quickly dropped their trees as we all grouped back up over where Ms Shinmon was standing with Lapis at her side.
"Alright, next we'll do durability training. After that it's fair game until tomorrow where we'll do mana training. Everyone understand?"
"Yes mam!"
I heard a few groans as I began to get ready for durability training. During durability training, Ms Shinmon literally just punched us. She had us go one by one and use our aura to stand there and take hits from her.
The stronger your aura was that harder she threw those punches. In all honesty I was sure it was working, because I had never felt this type of pain before but with each time we did it, it felt a bit easier to withstand them.
Now of course getting hit by a sharp object will still hurt but this would allow us to take more pain while still being able to move and fight more.
According to Ms Shinmon anyway.
"Hey! Muji! Come here for a sec."
I walked over to Ms Shinmon, sheepishly rubbing my neck.
"Yes?"
"In about a week, I'm sending you the to capital. I need someone to go and get supplies for us because they can't bring it here for some reason."
I hummed.
"Alright...why me though?"
"Because you're fast. It'll take about two weeks, but I feel like you can do it faster. I'm also planning to send Jax and Lapis with you, two more fast people who'll listen and help you if things get rough."
