Muji POV
All around me I could hear things being destroyed, people screaming and yelling, the sound of weapons clashing.
Everywhere I looked I could see spells being sent at someone else, or someone being taken out by others.
"It's insane...these guys are crazy..."
Lapis yawned before grabbing his scythe.
"We can't just sit here the entire time, or we won't make it to the second stage. So Muji, ready to go bully some weaklings?"
I laughed a bit and nodded.
"Yeah. Although we don't have to go anywhere."
A group began running towards us as Mya quickly pulled her spear out and got into a battle stance.
"Why are you so laid back for? We're about to be in a fight!"
"Don't be so scared Mya...these guys don't hold a candle to us."
I dashed over and slammed one into the ground, taking his medal while doing so. I dodged an attack from the other one and punched her in the face, Lapis running up behind her and grabbing her medal before crushing it.
I quickly threw my dagger at the last one and hit him in the chest where is medal was, destroying his also. The team before us vanished as I stretched a bit and picked up my dagger.
"See Mya? Weaklings. The only people we'll have to watch out for our the gifted generation."
Mya sighed.
"You two are heartless."
I shrugged.
"Forget that, I've learned something. When Ms Demeter said you couldn't remove the medal unless they were moving I think she meant unable to move."
Lapis blinked twice.
"Duh?"
Mya shook her head with a sigh.
"No Lapis, let me explain is. So just now when he slammed that guy, his body was moving but Muji still grabbed the medal. I think what he means is, if the person can't physically move or something..."
"Exactly. This makes things easier but more difficult. If we get caught by someone strong than we won't be able to defend ourselves."
Lapis yawned a bit before turning in the direction of the next enemies.
"Well the way I see it, as long as we avoid Taylor, Isabel, and Leonard we should be alright. The sound waves told me to stay away from those guys."
Lapis dashed at a group of three and swung his scythe, cutting one down. He easily took out the other two and crushed the medals of the group, giving us three more points.
"So, what's the plan?"
Mya looked to me as I stood there thinking for a bit.
"This event lasts two hours, so for the first half I say we stay here and conserve our energy. The goal is to let all the fodder die out while weakening the competition. No one near us is incredibly powerful so it should go as planned."
Mya nodded.
"So should we take turns fighting whoever shows up? I want to get warmed up and these guys are weak."
"Sounds like a plan."
Mya POV
"Mya it's your turn."
I let out a sigh and stood up before stretching a bit, picking up my spear as well. Muji looked to me, seeming a bit hesitant.
"Will you be alright? There's twelve of them this time."
