Battle Royale: Part 6

Muji POV

Jax rushed at me and swung his axe as I dodged it and punched him in chest, sending him back a bit. Adjest came from behind me and swung her sword as I flipped and dodged it, Lapis punching Adjest into a wall.

I brought my arms up and blocked a slash of darkness from Jax before landing on the ground. I could tell, for some reason Jax was serious about eliminating me.

"Well, someone needs to knock sense into him."

I rushed in and threw a kick at Jax, to which he dodged and grabbed my foot. He went to slam me in the ground but I broke my fall and flipped out of his grip, coming back down with an axe kick.

He blocked the kick and grew tentacles of darkness to retaliate, but I flipped off of him and dodged or blocked the tentacles. I felt something wrap around my leg as I looked and seen Iris's whip.

"Shit."

Jax rushed at me to punch me but he was intercepted by Mya, as she punched him in the face and knocked him back a bit.

I grabbed the whip and pulled it forward, also rushing at Iris and punching her into the ground.

I could sense mana from behind me as I turned around, seeing a giant ice dragon flying towards me. Before I could react Lapis jumped in front of it and whistled, exploding said ice dragon.

I heard Mya scream as I seen her flying into the wall, seemingly from one of Jax's attacks. Jax then rushed at me, with Adjest rushing in from the other side.

Lapis and I exchanged glances before taking off, I rushed towards Adjest as he ran at Jax. I kicked Adjest in the stomach and slammed her into the ground.

She touched the ground as icicle spikes rose up and poked at me, to which I jumped to avoid. Adjest jumped in the air as well and swung her sword at me, to which I punched and clashed with her.

I then grabbed Adjest and threw her into the ground before slamming my foot down on her, causing her to cough up blood.

I felt something wrap around my neck as Iris jumped on my back, trying to knock me out I assumed.

I sensed a suppressed emotion of malice and rage within her attack, but now wasn't the time to focus on her.

I went to grab her off of me but I couldn't do anything, I was losing lots of air just moving right now.

Adjest got up and tried to attack me but she was cut off by Mya, who kicked her in the side and knocked her away. Mya went to help me but Jax showed up and punched her away.

He then kicked me in the stomach as I coughed up a bit of blood. He punched me a few times and went for another one when Lapis showed up and grabbed his arm before snapping it.

Jax let out a pain yell before Lapis kicked him into the canyon wall. He then cut the whip that was wrapped around my neck as I grabbed Iris and slammed her into the ground.

"Thanks Lapis."

Lapis went to say something but he was cut off when Adjest was right in front of him with a swing of her blade. A wave of ice dispersed from the blade and hit Lapis as he jumped in the air to try and recover.

Adjest flew up and stabbed him before letting him fall, I went to run and catch him but I was cut off by Jax, who went to cut me down with his axe.

I dodged it and punched Jax in the mouth, blood flying everywhere.

"Why is this happening?"

I sensed Adjest coming as she flew down from the sky and tried to hit me, and I went to dodge but Jax held me still.

"At this rate, I'm going to be stabbed!!"

I head butted Jax with the back of my head and kicked him away before jumping myself. I grabbed Adjest and threw her into a wall before rushing over and stepping on her arm.

"What's going on?"

Adjest avoided my eyes and pushed me back, holding her sword up and rushing at me once again. I dodged the attacks and went for a punch but she stepped back and hit me in the side with her sword.

She went for another attack but I blocked it.

"Stop the useless chatter and battle me Muji."

"Adjest you clearly don't want to fight right now."

I jumped back to regain footing before I rushed in and punched Adjest in the face, knocking her back a bit. I grabbed her head and head butted her before making her look at me as I stared in her eyes.

"Tell me what happened."

Adjest's eyes began to water but she just steeled herself and pushed me back once again, kneeing me in the stomach to do so. She swung her sword at me as sword slashes of ice came flying towards me.

"Fine then, I'll just beat it out of you both."

"Muji watch out!!"

I turned and seen Jax heading at me with his axe, swinging down to hit me. I just barely managed to block it, using my aura to make sure my arms didn't get cut off.

I heard Adjest jump from behind me as she went to swing her sword with tears in her eyes. When the sword was about to connect she stopped.

"I can't..." I heard her whisper

She put her sword down as she stood there wiping her tears.

"I can't do it Jax...I'm sorry. This is wrong!! Let's just tell him and-

Jax burst out into a wave of mana as his rage seemed to shoot through the roof. He let out a yell as we all jumped back and watch as his mana surged uncontrollably.

His darkness formed a giant orb in the air, encasing himself inside of it as well.

I cracked my neck.

"I'll be back."

Mya looked at me and went to call my name, but I just jumped off. I broke my way through the cocoon of darkness and landed inside of it, seeing Jax holding his head and screaming.

"Jax what the hell is going on?"

He looked up at me whilst breathing heavy, an anxious yet desperate look in his eyes. He coated his snapped arm in darkness, a giant arm with large claws replacing his arm.

"Y-You have to drop out Muji....you have to!! If you don't he'll-

"Who's he?"

Jax stood up and began to rush towards me.

"I won't let him get you, so you have to leave!!"

I put my guard up and balled my hands up.

"I don't know what you're talking about, but it looks like someone has to beat some sense into you."
