Battle Royale: Part 5

Mya POV

The guy rushed at me and swung one of his blades, to which I dodged. I then blocked his second one and pushed him back before thrusting my spear forward.

He blocked the attack with some knock back but I then followed up with a slash. He quickly jumped back a bit but then rushed back in to close the distance, attacking me with his swords.

I spun my spear around and alternated from hands which allowed me to block his attacks. I quickly kicked him in the stomach before spinning my spear around and hitting his side.

"You're pretty good for a woman."

A tick marked formed on my head.

"What do you mean for a woman? I'll have you know there's lots of strong women."

The guy just laughed at me.

"You're right. What do you say we take this to the next level?"

He clashed his swords together a few times and then lighting coated around them. His body began to spark up as he smirked and rushed in very fast.

He went for a double overhead with his swords but I held my spear up and blocked the attacks. The lightning from his blades shocked me a bit but I managed to hold on to my weapon enough to push him back.

He then zoomed behind me and went for another attack but I dodged it and flipped my spear around, slamming it down on his shoulder.

The next thing I knew a hand grabbed my face and slammed me into the ground. I grabbed it and wrapped my legs around the arm before flipping over, hearing a few bones pop.

The guy screamed but I quickly jumped up and punched him in the face a few times before finishing it with another punch.

I felt my face as I began to get irritated.

"All this dirt and gunk...Muji is definitely going to laugh at me."

I heard something move so I turned and looked, briefly seeing a fist before it hit me. I managed to soften the blow a bit by stepping back a bit but it still hurt like hell.

"How the hell did he get back up?"

I looked up after recovering but seen another fist, but this time I managed to dodge. I quickly threw my fist at him and dodged a few more punches before elbowing him and putting him down again.

I walked over and inspected him.

"He's unconscious right?"

I sensed a bit of mana as it shocked him, bringing him back to consciousness. Before he got up and I then punched him again, knocking him out once more.

"Lapis needs to hurry up"

"Hey Mya!"

I looked over and seen Muji walking towards me. I smiled and went to run over but stopped when I remembered this guy. Muji made it to me and stood there confused.

"Why're you watching someone sleep?"

"Well he doesn't have a medal so I was just going to leave, but watch."

Muji and I watched him bring himself back to consciousness as he tried to attack me once again. I punched him once more and put him out again before looking at Muji.

"See? If I leave him he'll just follow me."

Muji sighed.

"You just aren't hitting him hard enough. Watch."

The guy woke back up as Muji slammed his fist into him, putting a crater in the ground. Muji dusted his hands off and began to walk away as I just shook my head and followed him.

Lapis POV

"You're annoying. Stand still."

I swung my scythe at this smokey dude but he just vanished once again. He appeared on the side of me as I grabbed him and slammed him into the ground, but he vanished again. He appeared behind me as I kicked him in the stomach and made him vanish once more.

He appeared once again with a bit of distance between us. I groaned and scratched the back of my head.

"It's obvious you can't beat me, so what's the point? Are you trying to buy time or something?"

I was certain he was waiting for his teammate to get here, sadly he doesn't know Mya is strong enough to take on mostly anyone outside of the gifted generation.

And if she loss then Muji would handle it.

"This is getting too annoying. I'm ending this."

"And how will you do that? You can't even-

I dashed over faster than he could even blink and cut him deeply in the chest, he coughed up blood and collapsed as he loss consciousness.

I rubbed the back of my neck and swung my scythe to get the blood off before walking over to his hiding teammate.

"Hi."

It was a guy, he seemed terrified. He handed his medal as to not get beat up, so I didn't beat him up and sent his group on their way.

"24 teams left."

"Lapis! You done over there?!"

I looked in the distance and seen Muji and Mya walking to me. I raised a thumbs up and headed over to them as we all sat down and took a break.

"There's like thirty minutes left. We're gonna pass guys!"

Mya hugged Muji happily with a squeal as Muji laughed and tried to get her off of him.

"You two did good. I hope the second event isn't too much harder than this was."

"Oh? What happened to wanting a challenge?"

"I want a fun challenge not an impossible one."

As the two bickered a bit I seen a few sound waves. Muji seemed to have noticed something too as he stood up.

"Look who it is!"

Muji looked up to the edge of the canyon as Mya and I did as well. We could see three figures standing there above us, but Muji could already tell who they were.

The three jumped down and landed across from us, I could now see that it was Jax, Adjest, and Iris.

The smile on Muji's face vanished when he seen Jax's.

"I guess you guys aren't here to say hi."

Mya looked confused.

"What's going on? We're all friends here right?? Let's talk about how the event-

"Muji."

Jax raised his axe at us with a bloodlust shot gaze. It seemed he had no intention of playing nice with us.

"I'll say this as kindly as I can. Drop out."

Muji glared back.

"Or what?"

I registered another sound wave before I jumped forward and swung my weapon, clashing with Adjest. The entire area began to shake as our aura battled against each other.

"Or we'll make you."

"Then do it. Make me."
