Pre Exam: Part 6

Muji POV

"Muji, one day you'll find something you want to protect no matter what. When you find it, make sure to treasure it no matter what ok?"

"O-Ok mommy! What about you? Do you has anything you want to protek?"

Mother smiled.

"Of course...my family."

My mothers smiled cracked in half and I found myself inside of a dark home. I looked at my mother, who was sitting inside of her chair.

"How is it Muji? Life without dear old mommy."

I clenched my fist.

"Why?! Why did you leave?! Even if you hated us...even if you hated me...why did you leave Karin and Daiki?! You even left the twins behind!! They did nothing wrong!!"

Mother just smiled at me with the wicked smile I always knew.

"Because I...."

I quickly shot up from my sleep, breathing heavily with my hand on my chest, hoping to slow down my heart beat. I took in and let out a deep breath before sighing and looking around.

I was in a small cave.

It was pretty dark in here, but I could sense a presence next to me, and one outside of the cave.

The person next to me was Mya, she was a familiar entity to me, however I didn't know who was outside.

"Mya. Mya wake up."

Mya slowly groaned and opened her eyes, looking at me. She teared up and hugged me tightly, not saying a word.

I didn't say anything either, as to not get her mad at me.

If she wasn't already.

"I'm so glad you're alright...I thought..."

Mya wiped her tears and let go of me before breathing in deeply and letting out a sigh.

"Don't scare me like that again."

"I...I'll try not too."

"Even thought you almost died...you looked really cool out there."

I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Don't fall for me Mya."

"Shut up idiot!!"

I laughed and dodged her smack before clearing my throat.

"So, who saved us?"

"You knew someone did?"

I nodded.

"I noticed them before I fell unconscious."

"Oh, he says he's a friend of yours so I decided to trust him. Although even if he wasn't there was nothing I could do with no mana, plus he seems really strong so- hey where are you going?!"

I stood up and walked out of the cave, meeting the guy who saved us face to face. My first feeling upon meeting him was that was he strong.

Really strong.

I felt that if I fought him even with all my strength I wouldn't win.

"Finally up lover boy? You've been asleep all night. You even made your beloved girlfriend cry."

"I'm not his girlfriend!!"

I ignored his jokes and observed him, he did seem familiar but not in a good relationship sense.

More so in a, I've seen him before kind of way.
