Scale of Reality

Pre Exam: Part 5

Muji POV

"Seriously Muji, you were moving super fast out there."

I nodded with a short hum.

"Yeah."

"You reek though."

"Shut up."

Mya giggled a bit before letting out a sigh, she was probably worried this whole time.

"Hey Muji, do you think there are any more of these things out there?"

I shrugged.

"Hopefully not."

I stood up and began to hear a lot more heavy footsteps, this time there were a cluster of them.

My heart began to speed up as my mind went down south, thinking of what could happen if they found us.

I quickly regained composure and grabbed Mya.

"Mya come on, there's more of them."

"Damn it I had to say something!!"

As we ran back into a bit of the more, tree riddled area, we watched from a distance. Five more of those giant goblins showed up and stood over the corpse of the fallen one.

"How did they find us?"

I began to think back.

"That last one was screaming a lot...do you think it was a cry for help?"

"It could've been. That means that they're in a group or something right?"

I looked at the group of monsters, they were constantly looking around, as if looking for us, but they were looking up at the sky.

"What are they doing?"

I began to think.

"Mya...I stink right?"

"Yeah but-

"We need to go, now!!"

The group of monsters started rushing towards us, causing me to grab Mya and began running away as fast as I could. However just like last time they quickly caught up, there was no use running due to them being able to smell me.

"Mya, I'm gonna need you to buff me again. This time, give it all you've got!"

I placed Mya down and drew my blades before facing the monsters, it was five of them and only one of me.

"M-Muji will you be ok?"

"I hope so. If it ends up looking like I'm going to die, I want you to run."

"Huh?! But I can't-

"Mya. Please. My siblings...they have to know that I would never willingly leave them."

I rushed in at the giant goblins and sliced one across its eyes, blinding its vision. I landed on the ground and quickly jumped back up again, successfully dodging one of their strikes.

The blinded one began to swing its weapon randomly, accidentally attacking one of its own. I used this to my advantage and rushed back in at the one who was knocked, going for a strike at its neck.

However I felt a blunt strong force hit me and send me into the ground. I quickly rolled over and dodged another attack before getting back up and rushing back in.

"Muji I'll blind and weaken them!"

I clicked my tongue and clashed weapons with one of them, my aura was the only thing keeping me from being overpowered easily.
