Muji POV

"Did you hear me? Let's fight!"

Taylor cocked her fist back and threw a punch, to which I instinctively clashed with my own. The two of us sat there for a bit, before she removed her fist and looked confused for some reason.

"Lady Taylor! Please tell me you aren't trying to start fights again."

I heard an innocent sounding voice say. A girl walked over and looked at me before smiling and waving. She had blonde hair that was up in a small bun and light blue eyes, she was pretty short too. I recognized her as Isis Arale, one of the gifted generation who came from the kingdom of Reynolds.

She oddly stuck out due to being a healer that used a giant hammer as her weapon.

"Hi there! I'm so sorry for her behavior, she just loves to fight strong opponents so-

"It's fine."

Isis looked to Taylor with a small smile. "You alright?"

Taylor walked over to someone else and punched them, knocking them out cold. A lot of people in the area became afraid or shocked but didn't say anything, I was a bit surprised as well.

"So my punches aren't any weaker. Hey, how'd you stop my punch right there. I've never met someone as physically capable as me."

I shrugged a bit. "Luck?"

Taylor smiled widely and began to laugh before extending her hand.

"The names Taylor Reynolds. Let's fight later on in the tournament."

I nodded and shook her hand.

"Im Muji. I'll look forward to it."

Taylor and Isis walked away as I let out a sigh of relief. I assumed Taylor was more unhinged than that and I was a bit worried that she'd start an actual fight.

"That aside...my wrist aches. She's a monster..."

"Muji! I'm here!"

I heard a familiar voice from behind me before I was hugged.

"Hey Mya."

She smiled and laughed a bit before showing me her medal. "I'm number 72! You think they mean anything?"

"Other than identification, not really. I'm number 339."

Mya hummed before shrugging.

"Well who cares! So anyways Muji, what do you think the first two events will be about? It's pretty obvious the last one will be the tournament."

"I don't know. We'll have to wait and-

I suddenly got a bad feeling. Everything faded except for a single presence in the area. It was a very strong presence, on top of that it felt suffocating.

"Who is that...no, what is that?"

I looked around frantically, worrying Mya in the process but I was focused on something else right now. I honed in on the presence before running in that direction, ignoring Mya's calls for me.

The presence suddenly appeared in front of me as I was now face to face with yet another girl. Her hair was silver and put up into a long pony tail and she had bright golden eyes, she looked like something out a fairy tale.

"Why were you approaching me just now?"

She spoke.

I recognized her from seeing her picture in the book I read at the capital, just like Taylor, she was one of the gifted generation.

"You're Isabel Louth, right?"

"I am. And who are you?"

I had to physically stop my hand from shaking so I could extend it.

"My name is Muji Akuma. I want to battle against you sometime during this event, even if it's only once."

Gasps began to be heard in the area, most of them seemingly adults but some were around my age. Whispers also aroused, but I paid them no mind and focused on Isabel.

She stared at me with cold eyes and a blank face before smiling a bit.

"Very well, Muji Akuma. I shall hold you to that challenge, and use everything I have to show you the raw difference in power."

She grabbed my hand and shook it before walking back off. For some reason I was very excited, some would say I was ecstatic.

"Muji! Why'd you just run off like that?!"

Mya yelled as she caught up to me.

"To say my hellos."

"Really? To who? You don't know anyone here other than our guys."

"Don't worry about it."

Timeskip

"Alright so today we're holding the children's tournament first, so all adults can go sit inside the crowds. You have ten minutes to move your asses."

I heard someone announce pretty loudly. About two hours had went by since I got here and now it looked like they were done with all contestants information gathering. I could see Ms Shinmon standing alongside Mr Naki and what looked like instructors from the other Kingdoms.

She seen me staring and waved, to which I waved back and smiled a bit. In the crowd many people who bet on others began to flood in after all the adults were seated in the spectator area, and some of the people were family members of participants.

"I wonder if my siblings will show up....I kind of hope not. Things could get really bad and I don't want them to see that type of stuff."

After a few minutes had went by I felt a few familiar presences in the area, so I immediately looked to them to make sure my senses weren't playing tricks on me.

"Mya."

"Hm?"

"Look."

I pointed into the crowd, seeing Mr Nate, Moira, and Karin there. Karin smiled widely and waved while Mr Nate and Moira just nodded and smiled.

"Karin?! Grandpa?! And Moira!"

Mya smiled widely and began to wave, small tears at the corners of her eyes.

"Looks like they came to watch, we'll have to give them a good show."

"Yeah!"

Mya then looked around a bit.

"Have you seen Jax? The ass hasn't annoyed me in a few hours and that's concerning."

Muji hummed.

"Now that you say it, Adjest and Iris aren't with us either. Maybe they just can't find us."

I could feel their presences so I knew they were here, but I did wonder where they were and why they weren't with us.

"Meh doesn't matter."
