Muji POV

"Rise in shine kiddos!! We're going sprinting today!! Again!"

Everyone groaned and walked out of the building, myself included. It had been two months since the hunt at the blood moon forest, and things had only gotten harder back at Boken.

Ms Shinmon says we made it through the beginner stages of training, and now we're in the Intermediate phase.

Every morning, we would start with a sprint. We would run for an hour without the use of aura, and then we would run back to Boken.

Afterwards, we would either practice Mana, Aura, or combat, depending on which day of the week it was.

After training for another 3 hours, we had isolated practice, which was exactly what it sounded like.

That went on for another 2 hours.

After that we had to study on the upcoming monster hunt we were doing. Ms Shinmon provided us with all the books, and it was up to us to learn everything.

The last two we went to were a slime hunt and another goblin hunt. Ms Shinmon was purposely picking hunts that included monsters weaker than horned wolves, but this time she said we were going up against lizard men.

Lizard men were humanoid lizards that hid out in swampy like places, and used the water and or tall grass plains to hide their presence.

I was a bit confused on how monsters kept showing up despite us killing so many. When I asked Ms Shinmon where the monsters came from she told me it doesn't matter.

But I really was curious.

"Muji!"

I looked up from my book, it was about the Lizard men. Mya stood there smiling with a book in her hands.

"Let's study together!"

I hummed.

"You sure you aren't here to distract me?"

Mya gasped.

"I would never." She said as she took a seat across from me.

"So, what chapter are you reading?"

"Battle tactics."

Mya hummed.

"I'm on characteristics."

"Mya, I'm pretty sure we know what a giant lizard person would look like."

She just shrugged.

"Yeah, but the characteristic chapter goes over much more than looks. Like did you know, Lizard men are very aggressive towards each other and only roll around in groups of 5?"

"I didn't..."

Mya smirked.

"What's this? The great Muji skipping on his studies? What would Karin think?"

"I wasn't skipping, I was just looking at the more important parts first. So....don't tell Karin."

"I'll think about it."

We began to quiz each other on the information in the book. Going back and forth between who answered and who questioned.

After study time was free time in a way. We weren't required to do anything, so everyone did whatever they wanted.

I usually used it as extra training time, but Ms Shinmon would sometimes stop me, telling me rest was as important as training.

Something I couldn't argue with.
